It's been a long day, you want a beer, what do you drink?
US or Foriegn?
I don't drink alot of beer so I usually drink something light like Natural Light. Okay, go ahead and say ewww, but it's what I am drinking right now and I aint complainin! |
Umm tastes good
|
Molson Canadian is the shiznit :P . and its foreign i guess.. not to me cuz i live in canada but anyway :P
|
Didn't take that into consideration.....I'm one of those stupid Americans that never thinks outside the box I guess.
Okay, from a US point of view answer the pole (and I appologize to all our friends not in the US). |
bourbon...
|
Anything but an American beer.. I don't really like water :\
|
This is what i normally drink
http://64.95.118.51/images/opti/95/b...resized200.jpg |
I've always felt sorry for people that never try anything other that Bud or Coors light etc...watered down crap.
As a Canadian I have to say thet even Moslon Canadian is the shitshttp://www.thehighroad.org/images/smilies/barf.gif I'll take a nice pale ale anyday over some of the big name shit out therehttp://www.thehighroad.org/images/icons/icon14.gif |
Labatts, Look up, see blue!!
Although, here in Michigan, most stores don't even consider it an import. |
if its been a long, hard day... then iŽd pick the ŽAnything thats on tap and is coldŽ option... but its not there.
so i picked Foreign... since all of the beers here (except that sweety beer Bud) are foreign (to you guys). iŽd have to say iŽd go a Carlton Draught, Tooheys New or maybe even splash out and get a Crown. |
German beer is the best. Beck's Dark, Warsteiner, Dortmunder Union.
|
the only american beer i like is sierra nevada... all the good stuff is from elsewhere :)
|
Depends on what's in the fridge.

Big fan of Newcastle I also enjoy Sam Adam's http://www.samadams.com/images/bottle.gif and there's some Killian's in the fridge right now... http://beersodasports.safeshopper.co...es/116tvvu.jpg |
I support my local brewery.
Kansas City made, Boulevard Wheat. Good stuff. |
I couldn't pick, I ususally drink Sam Adams or Labatt Blue.
|
1. Most often: Sam Adams
2. Local Microbrew(s) 3. Miller Lite Fav Import: Corona Thanks for listening. |
Quote:
I can smell the Newcastle Brewery all day long, especially during the summer. (never drink the stuff though, we don't call it 'dog' for nothing) *Edit* : I'm a Beck's lover. Whether it's one or ten, that's my brew. |
Quote:
Asahi for imports. I mix it up |
http://www.beermania.be/beer_images/duvel.jpg there is no real substitute after a *really* hard day
|
Local Brew: Midtown Brown
Imports: Tennet's, Red Stripe, Sapporo Why is American beer like making love in a canoe? It's fucking close to water. Python, Monty |
If I want a beer...I'll reach for German or Canadian *tips the hat to the Canadians*. But, if I just want a beer, I like Rolling Rock. Which, by the way, when I still lived in Pennsylvania, 23 years ago, was considered low-end, cheap, crappy beer that the kids drank because it was like 25 cents a bottle, or something like that. Now, it's looked at as a gourmet micro-brew. Ain't marketing great. :D
|
For the everyday stuff my weapon of choice is
http://www.didj.lu/drinks/ready/heineken.gif Heineken. |
I'll go for a nice bitter, or maybe a pint of mild, if the pub's got some.
Failing that, or if I fancy a lager, then Grolsch or San Miguel float my boat. If I'm feeling poor then I might have Fosters or Carlsberg, and if really poor then Carling. If I don't mind putting on weight, then I'm partial to Guinness or others stouts / porters too. I'm English, so I ticked the 'foreign' box :D |
At the house it's whatever was cheapest at the grocery store.... more often then not thats Old Milwaukie. When I am out And about its Molson Canadian or Michelob.
|
Everyday stuff: Heineken or Rolling Rock
At my local tavern: Bass Draft - Yuuuum! Sometimes when out: Newcastle Pale Ale or Samuel Adams is a never fail in a pinch. |
Oh yeah, Sam Adams is good stuff. If I'm feeling masochistic I'll drink Newkie Brown - that stuff has so much impurity, but it's so good at the same time...
|

Beer sucks. If I wanted to drink a meal, I'd get one of those SlimFast shakes. |
Pete's Wicked Ale. My favorite next to Mac & Jack's...or Oktoberfest...or Hefeweizen...or...or...
|
http://www.woodchuck.com/images/pear_pack.gif
Oh yes my friends... Woodchuck Pear Cider. Mmm... so good. If I have to drink beer... Gotta tip a Canadian brew. Labatts Blue or Molson Canadian. |
What about those of us freaks that don't like beer?
|
If it were a beer I was to drink I guess it would be Miller Lite.
Now if I got to choose whatever drink I wanted -- That's easy: http://www.murphguide.com/images/metrazur02.jpg Poured over rocks, one olive. |
I drink Michelobe Ultra. I always have some in the beer fridge. Also I like boulevard.
|
I'll take a cider, preferably English or Irish (so, put me down for "foreign"). Beer doesn't agree with me.
|
Im from the UK, so i guess there are slightly different things here on the market. Personally I like Carling as a beer.
|
I do drink some domestics like Killians and Amber Bock and Honey Brown, but my favorite is Newcastle.
|
I was over at a British couple's house a few months back, and they gave me a damn good beer. It tasted very much like Grolsch. I can't for the life of me remember what it's called, although it might start with an 'A'. Apparently it's quite popular in England. Any ideas?
|
Budweiser if it is hot and I need toquench my thirst. Other times microbrew.
|
If I can get it, Live Oak Big Bark Ale (an Austin, TX brew). I also go for Guinness when I can find a place with a decent pint.
|

Being that I graduated in Northern California, I am a big fan of micro brews. Red Nectar, Downtown Brown, Full Sail, 8 Ball Stout, etc..... |
Quote:
Aren't all Steelers fans supposed to answer, "Iron City"? For me - I've been known to toss back a Rolling Rock or two. If I'm out, I'll ask for a Bass Ale. I used to work at a place that had it on draft - good stuff. |
eeewww American water... err I mean beer.
I usually drink Sleemans Honey Brown or Sleeman Steam. |
Good ole Alexander Keiths, brewed in Nova Scotia canada.
|
OLDE ENGLISH MALT LIKKA!
well becks and heinekin is foreign but yuengling is from here and currently i've been drinking only "union made" beer ... cheer light beer from the US :) its good tho so whatever |
guiness
|
Anything that is hard to see through!
|
bud lite any day
|
Pilsner Urquell (Czech beer), Guinness (Irish stout), or US Microbrew.
Any American beer that isn't a microbrew tastes like pisswater. |
i live in eugene OR and we have a kickass microbrew selection at just about every store. a number of stores have more micros than domestics. i usually go for something dark. i don't really like beer i can see light through but sometimes i'll go for a good hoppy ale. this is the one i buy most.
http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/imag...idianStout.gif |
I live in the Mirco-brewery capital of the world so I have been taught to hate most macro-brews like bud, coors and anything else that takes like piss-water.I drink Fat-Tire and "Arogant bastard ale" and " obsidian stout"
Didin't even read split lickety's post, sorry man. Yes, we Oregonians are blessed with an abundance of good brew :) |
Foreign all the way.
|
there is no beating newcastle. heifenweizen and arogant bastard are good too.
|
I like domestic and English beer. But I don't drink any American.
|
Heineken, The Netherlands best export product
|
Molson Canadian.
As for American beer, only a swine would drink that swill. |
Bass.
|
beer... takes too long to get there... martini extra dry chilled straight up.
|
|
Natural Light is the nectar of the Gods as far as I'm concerned. But sometimes you want the Devil's Whiskey, I'll take bourbon everytime.
|
US beer IS foreign beer for me. :P I drink New Zealand beers for the most part.
|
Long day i would say i reach for molson canadian light... but being at school where the only canadian beer we get is skunk... Bush Light all the way.
|
Corona.....
There is no subsitute |
I LIKE JUST ABOUT ALL BEER.IMPORTS-CANADIAN,MOST EUROPEAN BEERS(GUZZLED MY WAY THROUGH AUSTRIA ONCE),AUSTRALIAN AND I LIKE TO TRY DIFFERENT MICRO BEERS,BUT AS A REGULAR NOW(SINCE THEY DON'T MAKE FALSTAFF ANYMORE) IT'S BUD OR MILLER LITE BY THE MF CASE AND I MEAN CASE.BUD LITE IS REALLY GOOD FOR BREAKFAST IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORK.-----DARN THIS HAS MADE ME THRISTY,I'LL START THE BEER FREE DIET TOMORROW
|
I'd have to say that all of the US and Canadian beers from the big breweries... well... sucks.
US beer gets special mention for its general suckiness. The Canadian micro breweries make some fine beers... especially Unibrou out of Quebec... On the international scene I am quite fond of most of finer beers from Belgium. |
Asahi if I can afford it, Crown Lager if I can't. The only American beer I like is Samuel Adams, but I don't drink that very often anyway.
|
I prefer Samuel Adams, Michelob, or Ice House
|
after a long day, nothing quite goes down like a:
http://www.peppermintcafe.com/drink/image/guiness.jpg as a matter of fact, I might just go out right now and start my day off right! |
Well, since I'm 19, and the only time I really drink that much beer is after a gig or long rehearsal with my southern rock bar band, I tend to reach for the most available: Natural Light...cheap, easy, and nothing goes with a whole pack of Camels like a good ol' boy's best friend.
|
i call it a "poor mans boiler maker"
old style with a shot of old crow side car! |
Sleeman Honey Brown.
Only in Canada, eh? Pity. http://www.mabiere.com/cgi-bin/postc...es/sleeman.jpg |
the only beer i'll consume:
http://www.pepsiplace.com/images/pro.../root_beer.jpg but i do consume plenty of it. |
