I'm doing okay. Going to Mexico next week so life can't be too bad. Work sucks but thankfully I have internet access and can come here. Although last Friday our ISP went down due to the black out and I bagged the day at work at 11am. I can't possibly be expected to sit here with no work and NOT get on the net!!!!

I'm diggin' it. Got my avatar, so I feel more member-ish. I've posted several new threads that have gotten good replies and discussion going, so that feels good. I'd say, on the whole, I'm liking TFP. More than when I was just lurking for porn.

I'm like you, Hal - I browse very often, but post a lot less than when I first started. I try to do more quality posts, and keep my comments off of boards where I know I don't have anything worthwhile to add.

I'm still hanging around but I don't see as many posts as I used to. I pretty much avoid Tilted Politics, and since there are so many topics now I don't have time to scan them all.

This is still the best online community I have seen and the only site on the internet I support with donations on a regular basis.

New here. Went away for a while, work got REALLY busy and I made my first film - that cost me time and mucho £££. Only made about 35 posts and was eventually one of the axed. Used to be regular on the humour board, occaisionally on the cars board and daily on the TB, which I miss a bit.

Hope the rest of you, both posters and lurkers alike, are living the good life.

I enjoy and look forward to coming on everyday to see what's new, play a little in the nonsence threads, and express my views every once in a while! I, like a few of the others here, keep away from the politics thread, too volatile for this girl. I must say the journals is a fantastic idea...it's nice to have a place to put down thoughts that float around, to share little things that aren't important and some that are. All in all, an amazing site (due in part to not only the members themselves but the moderators that keep everyone in line). It's a place you know you won't get ripped on just because....it's a place to meet new people and get some exposure to new views, new ways of thinking. That is always a good thing.

I am comfortable here. There are more people here with similar political views than other boards I used to visit. I still feel a bit alone here but I have not really tried to make friends yet. I am getting to know people by reading their posts and journals. Maybe in a few months I will start sending PM's and try to get to know some posters more on a personal level. As it is I still feel like a bit of an outsider but I think that will change with time.

I like hanging out in the forums. I came here via some other boards and was very disenchanted by them. They tried to preach rules, but rarely enforced them. The asshats came in and dominated the boards and made it very difficult to post anything.

But enough about that, it's over, I no longer post there. Out with the bad vibes, in with the good. :cool:

Posting here is a much different vibe. "Play nice" I know it sounds good in theory, but will it actually work. I answer yes.

I feel a great vibe of respect in here. It's refreshing.

it's cool man, the all around vibe is good. christ I actually dotated..(I'm a cheap bastard too) it's taken a long time for me to feel like part of the group but I do.

Yeah, liking it here - mostly.

Like most folk (at least the males) I originally came for The Erogenous Zone (free porn) and stayed for the conversation.

The one thing that does disturb me slightly is the "disappearing threads". If a thread or posts are found to be unacceptable then wouldn't it be better to lock them preventing further posts rather than erasing them? That way it's a little less Orwellian:( .

It's been a long day, but I have a few minutes and I jumped on line to see what's up. As often occurs, I ended up here. I still don't know that I am completely comfortable with TFP, but it allows me to make some statements and get things off my chest. Even if no one out there reads my posts, agrees with them or even cares, I feel better for having "said" it. Thanks.

I am doing well. Just a bit frustrated that I can't seem to buckle down and study for an Novell recertification test. Wishing I had all day to spend reading and responding to TFP threads and journals. I love this community. :icare:

this place has a good vibe, i've never felt afraid to say anything. the people here are (mostly) mature and can respect the views of others.
