Do you wear hats/caps/dorags?
 

Lately I have started to support my sports teams by donning their caps. I currently own an Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers cap, and I am starting to wear them more and more.

Previously, I had not been a fan of wearing caps, but lately it is something I have taken a liking to.

Do you wear any headware, or no?

If yes, what kind?

I used to wear hats, but not anymore. It was all about the Ohio State fitted cap.

I only wear hats for sun protection.
They're good for heat retention in the winter, but that's not applicable here.

I wore hats all throughout my teenage years... can't stand to wear them now

I have to wear a hat at work as a chef but i usually dont wear them any other time....they can cause your hair to recede ive been told

Apparently the meshcap look is back, and being as I own a million of them, I was sporting the "Levi Garrett Chewing Tobacco" camo cap I got from my grandpa when I was 10.

I wear dorags infrequently when I clean/do something productive. Like I said, infrequently.

I have a rather large head. Hats don't help this.

I wear a helmet when I ride my scooter.

Wear a hat all the time. Sports, silly messages (not so much of those anymore) Radio station hats. Cars, whatever. Just like them. I started wearing them I guess to keep the hair out of my face and just stuck with it after that.

i wear dorags (although i prefer to call them bandana's) all the time... i hate having to deal with combing my hair and what not. besides, i can't find a hat that says "hulk rules" on it, so it's all i got to support my hero.

I have pretty long hair on top and virtually no hair on the side. So if I feel I have to hide my hair I wear my only hat. Basic black flexfit hat with SATAN in red letters. It may be old and stinky but it keeps people from bothering me. Here's an old pic from when it was in good shape, about a 2 years ago.

Well... that's not true. I've started going to the gym every morning at 6:00, and I put on a ballcap for that, because otherwise my bed-head will scare small children.

I started wearing a cap when riding my ATV but now I keep one on almost all the time. I also used to dye my hair some strange colors and if I didn't want to look like a punk I'd cover it up :)

I only wear caps when I have bed head and need to run to the store or something. Always a helmet on the motorcycle.

In the summer, all the time unless I'm dressed up for some reason, like work. I have a tendency to sweat from the head so I need it to keep the sweat from my eyes. Also a dorag on in windy conditions. Keeps my bald spot from burning *ouch*.

I wear a baseball cap when I work out -- usually a Texas Longhorns hat I bought because my ex's family lives there and I could care less if it stay nice or not...

I don't wear hats. My reasononing? Everyone I know that wears a hat all of the time is bald. Are they bald because of the hat? I don't know and have never seen anything to indicate this but look for your self. I think you'll find that more bald heads are covered by hats than those with hair. Before you jump on your soap box - yes, I realize that they may wear the hat to protect their bald heads from the sun - so this puts us back at the chicken or egg dilema. I do own a really neat cap that I will wear for very special occasions - It looks like a naval officer's baseball cap - complete with braided gold scrambled eggs on the bill - On the front, in gold braid, it says: "This space for rent because no SOB advertises on my head for free".

i don't wear a hat as fashion, i only wear a hat for need (sun out off eyes, keep warm, etc.)

I wear my hat all the time, its like a piece of me. Plain black hat with a white Iron Cross on it, for those who don't know what a iron cross looks like, Independent skateboarding has it for a logo, West Coast Choppers use it for a logo, AKA Jesse James

It depends. There are times when I'll have a hot or visor on my head every day for about 3 months. Then, the next month or so I won't wear anything.

I'm always wearing a Bears hat when I go out.

I wore a baseball cap on almost a daily basis for eight years. I usually did it because I was too lazy to comb my hair neatly and get it cut every three weeks. When I started going to school here I started staying on top of my hair. Plus I heard hats can promote baldness, I already have gray, I don't need bald as well :p

if it's cold outside i wear a beanie, because i have a bald head. it gets very cold without a hat.

if it's cold I wear a simple knit cap, otherwise no hats for me. They make my hair all fuzzy, I'm susceptible to static.

I wear a chef hat at work when the boss is around, when he's not, it's a bandanna. The only other time something's on my head is winter, I have a pretty big toque collection.

I like hats and caps. I have bunchs of them. Everything from Fedoras to Pith helmets. Mostly any more I just wear a plain white baseball cap. And yea, I am bald but I started loosing hair before I wore hats much. Now I have to wear them to keep from burning my head and to keep the sweat out of my eyes.

I've recently (a few months ago) started to wear the TORO gardening hat my stepdad gave me when I was like, 13. Love this hat.

When it's freezing fucking cold out (Nov.-Mar.) I wear a blaze orange hat for warmth.

I never wear hats or caps. Can't find much of a reason to wear them. Always found them uncomfortable.

I only wear them if it is cold or if I hdon't want to do my hair.

I never wear 'em. They mess up my hair and they're just one more thing you gotta put on.

Helmet on the motorcycle, flat cap (cheesecutter) the rest of the time. Keeps sun off bald patch, rain off glasses etc.

I wear a cheap cowbay hat when it is raining. I work outsid equite a bit and can't afford a spare hand for an umbrella.

so very true...oh and i just look plain stupid in a hat....no matter what type of hat...just plain stupid...

ponytail holder... occassionally you'll find a bandana....

Wear a peak cap in the sun, a beanie when it's cold . . . . you'll never catch me in one of those fucked up ear warmer head band they wear these days tho . .

Yes. I wear a trucker cap that says, "Do us all a favor, and mind your own business." It has a Miller Light beer top attatched to the bill of the hat.

Oh, and I don't wear it sideways or anything. I wear my hat like it was meant to be worn :cool:

I occassionally wear a bandana to keep my hair out of my face, but that is about it.

Sometimes I wear a baseball cap, not usually otherwise I wear a straw cowboy hat. Of course it doesn't need to be said that men that wear baseball caps backwards or visors are gay - I don't mean to offend any homosexuals of course.

I regularly work at ren faires- there hats are a must due to sun and period authenticity - i wholeheartedly agree with Giant Hamburger- and personaly own three "hats" exactly like his (some buddies and i went bar hopping last year)

If I haven't had a haircut in the past 2 weeks and I'm out of the house, I'm gonna be wearing a baseball cap.

To put it simply if im outside of my house i have a hat on, the only exception to that is special occasions.

I like to wear a fedora on ocassion with my suit but otherwise I dislike headgear.

oh, and when out winter hiking. Since you lose 50%+ of your heat from your head it'd be pretty silly not to wear some kind of hat :)

Sometimes I sport a cap. I am very picky about them though. Just like sneakers. I like plain color hats and sneakers. Now days everyone wants freaking red white and blue on everything so I have not purchased a new hat in a while.

Once I put on a hat, it's there for the day. Even if I take it off, and take a shower, I can still feel it on my head. Like a ghost hat or something, it's kind of freaky.

usually wear a cheap $40 black felt fedora - goes with everything and with the brim it keeps the sun out of my eyes and the rain or snow off my glasses if the clouds decide to open up.

I also wear one of those "driving cap" type of covers on occasion - tend to wear it backwards where it has that beret look if I do

and no worries about "hat hair" here, as I have not combed my hair since 1996 and it usually is shaved or very short if I get lazy for a spell. A comb just get used if my beard gets enough length on it.

I only wear a cap when Im feeling too lazy to comb my hair... if it wasnt for that, i'd find them annoying

I wear hats on occasion... they have to be fitted and I am usually wearing a hat that isn't necessarily my fav. team... I just may like the design or colors...

I wear a ball hat when I'm playing baseball. Other than that, I'll wear a hat when I'm too lazy to do my hair or if I'm camping etc, etc. I wear touques in the winter.

Nope, my wife says I look ridiculous in them.

I would love to wear hats, but like JBX I look ridiculous in them. I have one baseball cap that if I am wearing sunglasses I don't look like a total geek. It is sad. I live in AZ and begining to thin on top, so if the trend continues I will be force to wear them anyway(so as not to fry my noggin) - Life is cruel.

I wear my University of Michigan fitted hat evreywhere I go no matter where it is. . I couldnt live without my hat...

I am also partial to my Nike Golf hat it jsut so damn comfy...

Anyone else think those chinese lettering hats for sports teams are just hideous besides me?
