Is it just me, or does that seem a bit... well, wierd?

If you're gonna create an Avatar for yourself, why would you put a naked women there? Unless, of course, you are a naked woman!

More than once I've mistaken a male poster for a girl, because they had a female picture.

i dunno, i guess i just go by people's nicks, with the exception of new people i *usually* know who's what and such..

perhaps too i've the advantage of the ladies lounge...
i see a nick elsewhere and can think 'oh i've seen them in the LL, so it's female'...

besides...the number of females around here with avatars is prooly around 20 or so, not too many, i could prooly almost name them all off the top of my head if i tried hard enough..

interesting tho, is that the females never have hot guys in their av's.

prooly because they're not into hot guys (like me - i've got an excellent bf, and i could not care less about other men)...
or...i dunno. several reasons a chick would not put a guy in their av. chicks want images they can 'identify' with or something.

I wish females would use female avatars, and males use male avatars.

I always get confused who is who as well :P

I have avatars turned off, and don't use one myself. Saves bandwidth and loads pages faster! I know you all by your nicks only.

All I can say is that when I play a fighting game in an arcade, I tend to pick a female character. That way, I can look at her in every round, instead of only when I'm up against her.

And my avatar has no sex, being a pattern.

don't have an av yet, but if I did it wouldn't be a naked woman, because I don't think a naked woman is a good representation of who I am.

i personally dont use a girl as my avatar (who needs girls when you have texas?) and my wp is not a girl either (my mom would get pissed if i had girl and i'm not the kind of guy that puts girls up on wp)(who needs girls when you have dale jr's car?)

Maybe an online avatar is meant as an expression of some part of who you are. If so, a picture of a naked woman might be used because it represents what that person finds attractive. Or it might be a general statement that pictures of naked women are an important part of their life somehow.
Then again, maybe they just want to give other people something nice to look at.

To tell the truth, when I see avatars such as this, I have other thoughts on my mind.

Though I get confused about the posters sex sometimes, I dig through their previous posts and profile until I can get a better opinion. Unemployment is an easy life... except for the whole being broke thing.

i, myself, have used six avatars so for. one was a yahoo emoticon with a Zorro-like mask (which i've been Zorro for ten years on my other areas) and a mustache (which i have) and so on. I had the humerous "The voice in my head told me to kill you, but I'm pretty sure they were just kidding." I had an erotica/art pics of a lady pulling a thong off - it was beautiful and i got shitloads of people telling me to put it back heh. i forget what the next was, then it was a beautiful girl in lingerie, smiling and smelling of a flower. now Timmy since he's funny as hell and king gimp


i show women to simply give a taste of my personality and what i like. i like pretty or artsy ladies. most of the bouncing boobs or what make me cringe.

When I first got my avatar on v. 3.0, I used a nekkid female - one of my favorite porn princesses in a favorite position. I stopped using it soon afterward for two reasons - I realized there was much more to the TFP than the Titty Board, and also because I know a lot of people like to visit the TFP from work yet want to still keep the avatars enabled. Just a personal choice - not a suggestion to others.
