Gray Hair
How many of you have gray hair? If you have it, when did you start getting it? Do you dye it? I'm just wondering because I am 23 and I already have a lot of gray hair. A fair amount mixed in all over, and my temples are salt and pepper. I started going gray when I was 17. At this rate my hair will be white by the time I'm 30, maybe 35 if I'm lucky.
No gray hair here at 22, but it has started to recede a little bit.
Whatever...*shrugs* White could be interesting though, just grow a goatee and pretend you're James Coburn. |
I'm insanly blond so I dont think my hair will turn grey ever. At least nobody will notice.
I'm a little grey on the sides but my hair color kind of masks it. I will never dye my hair, a little or a lot of grey never killed anyone.
I'm only 26 so I don't have grey hair. I shave my head anyway so I guess the only way I'll know that I'm going grey is when my pubs change. :D
Lots of great hair, 29 years old - all along the sides. Its very Reed Richards and Gen. "Vinegar Joe" Stillwell
Women seem to love it. I will never dye it, I'm not that vain. If a women won't date me because of my hair color - I wouldn't want to be with someone that shallow anyway |
No gray hair here...
I'm just 21 though, so I guess that is a good thing. :) |
At 22.
It's fading to gray. |
Lots of gray at 44!
Started coming in at late twenties. Never a big deal, women seem to dig it so no issues. |
still brown, what's left of it...
too young for that stuff.
jet black hair |
20. None. I don't really care though, people get old, they get grey, and some get bald. The way I look at it, whatever happens happens. (Said by the person who has no baldness in his genes and a grandfather who still has color in his hair in his 60's :p)
32 y/o and fairly salt-n-peppered black hair. It started changing around 22, but as long as it stays on my head and off my back and/or ears I don't give a shit if it turns green.
I'm picking up a smattering of them in the temples and among my chest hairs.
Welcome to life. |
I got about the same amount as Uncle Phil, but none of em are grey.
BTW,
I have BAD news for you CrazyBill, re your third choice (FUCK NO, I still have my real hair color.) Your hair color is whatever nature makes it. When it is brown, red, blonde, or grey, that IS your 'real' hair color. |
I'm about to turn 37 and I'm just starting to get a couple on the sides. I'd gladly trade some more grey hairs in exchange for losing the bald spot on my crown though.
no gray hair yet. Probably a good thing since i'm only 26.
I'm bald, so you can't notice it on my head.
However there are a few on my goatee and a few with my chest hairs. It's not really significant. |
No grey hairs yet, and I won't care if I do get them... it will add character.
35 and getting grey hairs now. so far only noticeable if your close. i plan to just let them be, its who i am.
No grey hair here! Just blond.
i started greying when i was 16ish and it's coming along nicely... i picked it up from my maternal grandother's side of the family: everyone was silver by their thirties. i have no problems with it beyond the incredulous comments from all of the people who "discover" that a young man of my age already has grey. it gets old.
wanna hear something even weirder? i've always had dark brown hair... always. the grey started coming in as drescribed above, but along with the few greys in my goatee i've found a few red hairs... how odd is that? |
Same color as always. What little of it there is left.
Thanks for the replies. I was a little frustrated when I made the poll. I was getting my hair cut today when the woman cutting it was asking about it, and when she found out I was 23 she was like "wow, thats a lot of gray hair." Like phredgreen said the comments get real old real quick.
As far as what Lebell said, I couldn't think of how to word that last question. Perhaps original color would have been better I don't know. |
I don't think I'll really have to worry about gray hair. If my grandfather is any hint, I won't have much in the way of hair to worry about in not that long... :(
coming from a theatre background, grey is as grey does. That is why god created Miss Clariol, or if your really butch, just for men. On some it looks distungished, other just looks gray.
I got my first gray hair at the age of sixteen. Now I'm 20 and have a streak of it. I won't dye it--I like my natural hair color too much. My mother, on the other hand, is 46 and still dyes her hair every month. She, without the dye, would be completely gray. That's what I have to look forward to :D
I'm 19 and my goatee is turning white. Not gray, pure white, no pigment at all. It's starting on the left and progressing over to the right side. No change up top or down below, and my eyebrows are the same.
Almost 40, got a few in the beard, on the chest and at the temples. Just a few.
no grey hairs in my goatee or elsewhere.
I started going bald when I was about 16-17 so all I ever see of my head hair is stubble when the "fringe" needs a shave! You should add a "hair? I remember hair." choice on the poll |
I started getting gray hairs when I was 18. I'm 30 now and well on my way to the 'clooney' look. I quite like it actually :) as long as I don't lose it!
None here, but I'm only 19. Hopefully I won't see any for a while.
no grey, but I'm slowly losing my hair...oh well.
Now, let me clear this up. It isn't gray, it's silver. And, my beard matches the hair on the top of my head.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to attrack younger women. |
I think I'd welcome some grey. 32 years of bright red hair is damn tiring.
I get about 3 gray hairs a week.....I just pull em out
Wait till your pubes start graying. Yikes!
I have dark brown (almost black) hair (none gray), but the weird thing is, some of the hair in my goatee is red. I can't figure that one out.
found one grey hair last year at 21....alpha phi laughed his ass off.....haven't found one since.... :)
