strange incident with a bug
 

Last night, I had my computer on, and a bug flew on to my monitor. It wasn't too big, but it was slightly distractoin. I let it stay there for a few minutes, i didn't want to swat it anyway, because i thought it might mess up my monitor. I noticed it started following the around the brighter parts of my screen. I got thinking, and i made the screen all dark except for a circle of light around my mouse. I moved it around a bit, and the bug followed. I did this for a few minutes, it was actually pretty entertaining. the bug almost felt like a pet to me. then it flew off.

Today-- a few hours ago, there was a bug flying around, annoying me, and i swatted it. It was the same bug. I killed it.

I feel really strange now.

the bug probably felt like you two bonded last night. He was probably only saying hello to his new friend before you took his life. How sad.

My god, how many bugs have I killed on my monitor... I've been forced to squash them for years... my hands are sullied. But I didn't know, how could I have known? Damn my short-sightedness! Arggh!

Soylent bugs are people! PEEEEEOOOOOOPLLLLEEE!!!

i'll have to try that sometimes (not swatting the bug :P ) leading the bug around with your mouse does sound entertaining

More importantly, what are you going to tell the Zargites? How will you explain the cavalier slaughter of a foreign emissary who believed its self to be safe by the time-honored laws of hospitality? What if they don't like what they hear? If they speak out will you "swat" them too? Will you then swat those who protested the previous swat? Will you attempt to swat me now for posting these questions? You are at a Zargician crossroads, my malevolent dictator. Will you rule with an iron fist, a velvet hammer, a fleshy swatter or perhaps, if it is not to late, a priapic wand of sanatory justice? The choice is yours. It is a dark time to be a Zargite. Well, it was honestly a mistake. I mistook the friend-bug for an enemy-bug. Mixups like this happen. If I kenw that it was my buddy-buy, i would have said hi, shook its hand, and gone on with my business. I do feel bad about it too.

i'm guessing that before buddy-bug met his/her untimely end, he told a few of his buds about this rad new extreme sport he found. you will probably be encountering his friends, and maybe can atone for the murder by leaving them some tasty snacks. dependent on the bugs, maybe meat or rotting vegetables?

I suggest you do the noble thing and eat the remains of your friend. In this way, its spirit can be reborn as part of you and the balance in the universe is restored.

Sad, yeah. :(

I try to keep bugs out of my house. I obviously dont have your patience because any bug I see is a dead bug within seconds.

The bug you killed might just have been the previous bug's sinister twin. Don't fret, I'll bet your pet bug is buzzing happily around a farm somewhere with plenty of room to chase dogs.

:( but maybe he will come back as something cooler.

How like life... you land somewhere and you have no idea what it is you landed one, you walk around a bit, follow the bright lights but never seem to reach it then you die...

Am I the only one here seeing the correlation between this bugs life and our own? Or am I just weird? lol.
