Description: The Evanston steakhouse has opened a second location in Wheeling in the former Crawdaddy Bayou. Like the original, it features clubby dark-wood ambience, a billiards room, free live jazz every night but Sunday and one of the best burgers around. You won't be working in the evening will you? When the times are set I'm sure there will be some time for you to stop by if you want, so don't sweat it :)

I would love to go but I live in Washington, Keep us posted for the next one. A bunch of people from another board did this a while ago and made a whole weekend of it and what do you know it was in Chicago. It was my first time there. MAn that city is F**kin cool!!

We honestly don't know yet if we'll be able to attend, but we'd like to. It would help alot if we know where the hell it was going to be! Since we live in WI. the location alone could rule us out.

Here's what we can tell you - Northwest suburbs of Chicago.

We're looking in Niles at the moment, but don't want to post a definitive location until all deals are made.

Niles should be enough information though to make a decision. (it's north of Chicago if you didn't know)

It's so secret because it literally changed completely between this morning and just now ;)

But it's set now so I'm about to update the main post.

:(... Sadly I won't be able to make it. Life has been busy lately, and around that time I'll be busy finding a job while I go to school (which I'll also have to start preparing for).

He's right about that. We had a location in mind, and I stopped off there this morning. Got a big thumbs down, and Secret found a much better place. He posted this immediately after our conversation about it.

As fate would have it, I am unfortunately not able to attend this time. I will be out of town on a all expense paid business trip. It has perks but I was looking forward to meeting some new faces. Hope there will be another scheduled rendezvous soon :)

As far as I'm aware, there is no dress code so don't fret it ;)

i think this is an EXCELLENT idea, and, even though where i live is only 350 miles away, i would be there in an instant...BUT this shop where i'm working (and have been seeing the owner for three years) is having a big to-do this weekend, and sadly i must be here. but my thoughts are with you folks in chicago. thanks for doing this, people. this place is GREAT!!

Well I'm sorry to say that plans have changed and we won't be there. One of our German Shepherds took seriously ill suddenly and we had to put her down. We don't feel much like partying right now. Hope to be there next time.
