Who would you give free drinks to?

Free drinks to off duty employees/security. A reasonable price on all drinks for everyone else. No $8 per shot of cheap vodka. If i want to keep out the winos and riff raff, that's what i would have security for. No need to hike prices up for all the decent folks :)

Free drinks? My closest friends. Three people.

Drinks are where bars make most of their margins, and giving away free drinks opens up a whole can of worms for legal liability for bars.

But heck, since we're dreaming, naked chicks and workers.

I can see it now- all these naked chicks lining up for the free drinks!! Oh well, like you guys have said, we can at least dream...

Close friends and people with creativity. I mean, if someone wrote legibly on their ass, "I'd like a shot of vodka" then that shot would be on the house.

Regulars and friends who always pay their way, on those rare occasions when they come in looking like the world has dumped on them. A freebie is a way of saying, "somebody cares.'

Now, if they're regulars who _don't_ always want to pay their way and they're looking for a freebie, or total strangers, all they're going to get is a sympathetic ear and maybe a cup of coffee.

A good tipper might 'accidentally' get a double, or triple.

If I was actually trying to make money, no one.

Free drinks to my inner circle (10 people), staff, security (but only if they're off duty). Discounts to college friends and family. Regular price for EVERYONE else.

No one unless they came in regularly and were cool then I would hook them up. Gotta make that green

If I offered free drinks for naked people, my luck, it only be the ugly, fat, scary men clamoring for free drinks... *yuck*

Free drinks are not something you just give to anybody . . . the naked chicks is a nice dream but realistically not gonna happen (unless you have a noodie hour rather than a happy hr) . . more likely headjob = free drink . . .

i worked in a bar for 4 years.

i gave away freebies to close friends, family and cute girls.

but since this was a good bar, i must have given away more than i sold.

at one point, just after the bar started, the manager made it my job to go around to the cutest women in the bar, and give them free Veuve...
that had to be the greatest job ever.

I'm a history nerd, my dream is to start a history themed bar...so trivia contest winners would obviously be rewarded with adult libations.

i would give free drinkd to everyone, becuase i suddenly would own this bar i didnt pay for and might as well become the most popular person in my entire city

Good friends, family, some TFP people, people with guns pointed at me, some naked women, the people you'd expect me to give them to.

Close friends.
Any woman that orders naked - they'd deserve it.

Those who know how to play the game -- free drinks go to those individuals who are big tippers -- that way they feel as if they are drinking at a discount but enough money still exchanges hands to cover the cost of the drinks....

If it were my bar... it would depend...my bar staff would have a comp tab that they could use , lets say 10 drinks a shift... they would still ring it up but then it would go down as a loss...everything get rang up .....

Interesting question for me - I work in a bar and hope to own my own one day.

In the bar I work at we get at least one free drink after we finish, often more if the manager is in a generous mood and/or it's been a busy night. Most I've managed to get in one night is 4 pints. :)

free? ah no

I'd throw the true alcoholics a free drink now and then. If you keep the people coming back that order 10 drinks/night, you'll end up making a lot more in the long run.

If I ever own a bar don't try and get free drinks.

I'd give free drinks to everybody but then charge them to piss!

girls that will kiss in front of us all gets some free drinks. they do more, they get more...hehe.

i would also definitely give out free drinks to my non-alchy friends.

i'd have buy backs... it's where the bartender buys back every 3rd or 4th drink you've bought...I don't just give out freebies to my friends...but also those people who will become my friends.

we had a titty bar here that was forced to move by the city due to new restrictions..

the city refised to renew thier permits/liquer license in an effort to force them to move faster I believe.

the result.the clubs uping the cover to 20 bucks and the drinks were on the house < really!> as a simple screw you to the man .

this lasted about a month while thier new location was complted.

the last day of free beer was july 31 :(

Regulars who spend lots of money there would get a free drink or two often. Gotta keep them happy.

If I gave free drinks to all the TFP members alone that would be a loss of something well over $20,000 depending on how many drinks everyone gets. But I'd still do it :) Friends and family would have to be free too.

I'd give out drinks to anyone I knew, who I don't dislike, regulars, people who have just had bad things happen to them, hard workers, ah hell, I'd give free drinks to anyone who isn't a jerk. Provided this bar just appeared in my ownership.
