What are they?

first - Having unhealthy (handicapped) children......Everytime I look back at how I made fun of the Special Education class in school I cringe. Having a cousin that is confined to a wheelchair for his whole life that I have seen grow up but have never seen sit still or speak or look at me for more than a split second really really instilled the fear of karma in me.

b - Losing someone I care about.....I know its a part of life, but damn, its a shitty part. I was like a 8 year old boy when I had to put my first cat to sleep a few weeks ago. I still get a little teary every now and then when I think about it. It makes me wonder how it will be if anything happens to the rest of my family or my friends.

3 - Dying a horrible painful death .... Drowning, Fire, Cancer....all of these scare the bejesus out of me.

1- same as your #3 i don't really want to die a horrible painful death though, i suppose, if i died anyways it wouldn't matter

2- i always had the fear of losing family and so on - and whats sad is that i already have but i never really want to see it again though i know it will happen

3- failing to succeed in life (as in ending up a bum on the streets i guess u could say)

1 - Living alone for the rest of my life with no lover
2 - Denting my car!!
3 - Becoming disabled

Shallow.. I know, but some general things just don't scare me.

1. Losing friends or family members.

2. Getting sick (again).

3. Being alone.

* Going blind (oops, too late ;))
* Falls from great heights (but still have & will still skydive, and have fallen many times from various things)
* Losing my mind (again, too late...heh)

1. Flying - I do it regularly but hate every second of it.
2. Cancer - With the amount I smoke the odds are pretty good.
3. Not fulfilling my potential - Whatever the hell that is.

1. losing another loved one
2. getting a brain tumor or cancer
3. being kidnapped/murdered/raped/tortured by a serial killer (totally irrational, I know, but there it is)

1) premature death
2) not having the smallest effect on the world. To me, the point of life is to leave it better than you entered it. To fail to do so at all is a wasted life.
3) being "wrong" and going to hell

1. Something terrible happening to my children.
2. Losing my Dad.
3. Christopher changing his mind.

These are in no particular order, they all scare me just as much as the other.

1.) Burning to death (I can't imagine a more painful way to go.)

2.) Falling to my death (too much time to think about it, on the way down.)

3.) Growing old with no one left who cares.

1. Something hurting my kids and me not being there to stop it or unable to stop it.

2. Losing my wife.

3. Bush rigging the next election so that he wins again, then keeping a war going until the next election and declaring a state of emergency, keeping himself in charge for another term (he will say that he will step down when the war is over...yeah right). All the right wingers, bible thumpers, and war mongers will agree that this is probably for the best so there will not be enough of a protest to make a difference. I will be forced to flee to Canada but Canada will not give me a workers permit so I wont be able to work or buy a house. My family will be homeless in Canada because of you damn Canadians and your stupid immigration laws!!

DAMN CANADA!

1. To lose my dad.

2. To lose any of my brothers. I seriously don't think I could continue living if that happened.

3. To not utilize my gift. I have the potential to be something great, but my town has been known to suck people in, and keep them from realizing their dreams. I am so scared that I won't live up to everyone else's expectations.

1. Loss of a child.
2. Loss of spouse.
3. There is a hell.

-going insane...losing control of my faculties

-knowing about something big (first contact, attack, plague), going back in time and nobody believed me

-that burning one doesn't sound very pleasant...or dying a slow and painful death in general

2. losing the one person in my life that gives me meaning to live

3. insects (any kind I just totally freak out, but i love camping and hiking cuz im really outdoorsy, just to many horrific girl scout camp outs)

It sucks. You expect grandparents and parents to go before you - it won't be fun, but it's an accepted part of life. When we're all old, our friends will start dying and that's a pretty normal part of things, too. Not a fun part, but one we prepare for to some degree as life goes by.
People aren't supposed to just have a random, completely unexplainable seizure (no prior history) in a store, hit their head and be dead of massive inter-cranial hemmhoraging before they get to the hospital when they're 38. And... you've been together for 6 years.

If it ever happens to you, try running a marathon two days later. I dare ya. ;)

1) A slow, agonizing death. When I die, I want it to be either peaceful, or so violent that I'm dead before I even know what's going on.

2) Being told by St. Peter "Sorry, fanatical Christianity is the only way in, see you in Hell sucker!"

3) Failiure, in just about anything. I've failed at things before, and I don't like it. My fear of failiure keeps me from doing so much, but I'm getting over it. So.....

1) Bugs (insects, spiders, etc), yeah I'm a pussy.
2) Dying a very slow and painful death.
3) Doing something stupid.

1. Going blind.
2. Having a serious car accident.
3. Lonliness

I fear nothing.

When shit happens I can handle it. :cool:

1. Loneliness - If there's no one there to share my love, pain, joy, and frustration with, then its not worth living.
2. Terminal illness or serious disability - I fear all the potential things I can do in life being shattered by fate in one fell swoop.
3. Death of people I know and care about - I don't care if its my mom or a distant cousin or just someone I know from college. I fear losing them.

I think thats pretty rational.

1. decomposing somewhere before my body is found (melting to the couch in an empty house)
2. a violent death such as car crash or gun shot
3. disney movies

1. living my life alone. nothing could be as bad as being lonely for the rest of my life. no one to share my feelings with
2. war...like end of the world war. just the thought of the entire planet falling into tourmoil
3. death. not necessarily my death...but the death of those close to me also.
4. failing. i couldnt stand the feeling that because of my laziness or lack of effort that i ruin my life. that means i would become one of the people that i truely loathe in life.

1) Coming in conact with harmful underwater creatures: Jellyfish, Man Of War, Squid. I feel so helpless in the water. - This fear is so bad I don't even like experiencing it in video games. Fighting the dianogas in Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire was absolutly terrifying for me. - This still doesn't keep me from scuba diving though......funny.

3) Getting a Mental Illness. Especially just becoming downright retarded due to some injury. I want someone to shoot me if that ever happens...... But then again... Maybe being retarded could be best thing that could ever happen to you! Maybe your always happy with infinite bliss inside whats left your mind!

1) A horrible creature from my childhood nightmares who still visits from time to time. He was a skinny bull who walked around on his hind legs and kept repeating "Toe toe toe."

1) Clowns. Hate 'em. There's something wrong with people who have to get into a different persona to have fun.

2) Global Thermonuclear War. It's still more a reality than most people think, and North Korea is going full steam to make it happen. Why are clowns #1? Because I'm more likely to encounter them on a daily basis.

3) Total Paralysis: I'd hate to be trapped in my body with no way to communicate or express myself in anyway. I fear I'd go insane coming up with ways to end it, but not be able to act on them. . .

1) Dying before I get to see my boys to adulthood

2) Becoming paralyzed and becoming a burden to my family

3) #1 and #2 happening to my wife.

1) Total, unending failure

2) Permantly making someone less whole

3) Blindness (It's been creeping up on me all my life)

you have no worries about #3. I leave for ohio today......

Losing a family member. I'm not scared of much, but I couldn't handle losing someone in my immediate family. I used to pray that I'd be the first one to die in my family, I'm not a religious person anymore, but I would still pray if I were.

4. NOT dying.

1. Rejection - I've spent too much time as a loner
