Could you please view this video and have as many people as you can view it? If I have the highest view count, I win a $3,000 scholarship for school this year!

I know you want lots of views, but I figured I'd ask first: do you mind if I post this on facebook?

July 22, so I gotta get some major views on this in that time :)

I'm going to make sure to watch this at the client sites i'm at in the next few days, get you some extra views. If it actually give you a view per PC, I can make a crap ton of pcs view this over the weekend. Don't know if it will work or not.

Update: We are up to 832 views! The person currently in 3rd place only has 2100, I'm going to continue promoting the hell out of this thing, and if any of you would like to also view/share/promote to forums, facebook, youtube, etc, that'd be awesome!

Have you thought of using zoom and the focus features on your camera? Perhaps instead of rambling about why you haven't made a video in a month, you could skip right to "Hey I made this video to get a scholarship".

Thanks, Dlish! I think it's definitely helping. The viewcount is rising fast! I'm at 2,055, with only 5 more hours until the contest is done, and only 400 views from overtaking third place! It's been a hectic night for me, going to be sooo close!

So far so good! Even if /b/ did discover you. It looks like they aren't being too badly behaved, though. And they do bump your view count.

Thanks everyone for all of your help! The contest just closed and they are going to announce a winner soon. Unfortunately, my viewcount froze just hours before 12p (probably due to all the influx from reddit). youtube sent me a message that there was a known error in my viewcount. I forwarded the info on to ivytech, but they basically said, "Sorry about your luck, we tally the views based on what is there at 12p."

I sent another message to them pleading them to at least verify with youtube first, since my accurate viewcount wasn't represented, but they didn't respond.

I am sad face. :sad:
