ugh

was driving to work today in downtown. some dumb bitch just decided to go on the red light. i was going about 40. if i've noticed her a second too late, i would have smashed the shit out of her. anyway..prolly burned about an inch off my tires. stopped about 10 inches from her car. hah she had the worst look on her face - looked like she just shit a brick.

for some reason i felt disappointment in the fact that i didn't plow into her. guess i was just kinda pissed. prolly wouldn't woth it anyway.

There's so many dipshits on the road. I'm probably one, I suck at driving.

gov135 07-09-2003 07:25 AM

It was the look that made you wish you'd have plowed into her.

Near my place, there is a traffic light on a sixty-mile-an-hour freeway. When the light changes to cross the freeway, you never hit the gas right away. Instead, you best look both ways. Cause theres aways a trucker or two that can't stop quickly enough and comes skidding into the intersection.

And its that stupid, shit-eating grin on their faces that makes you wanna hit the gas and run into them.

I am at the point where I hate to drive anywhere.

1) Most drivers are morons, and no matter how defensive I am, I am sure one day I am still going to get hit.

2) THERE IS SO MUCH BLOODY CONSTRUCTION THAT I AM STARTING TO THINK THEY ARE SEGREGATING INDIANA FROM THE REST OF THE USA!

I got into an accident with you exact situation and they gave ME the ticket. I had a green light and he had a red. He ran through it and I T-boned into him. They found me at fault. It was in upstate New York. Really pissed me off. Nothing I could do though. Some dumbass old guy who should not have been driving.

What was the logic behind that one?!

Conclamo Ludus 07-09-2003 09:19 AM

For some reason I was required to have stopped instead of running into him. As if I had a choice. It was total BS. I was young and he was old and the cop was a douchebag.

that's when i would've blared my horn for a good 10 seconds

I had a situation just like stinky's. Except I "tapped" his car with my bushbar and messed up his front corner bad. I drove away with a bent bushbar (I bought it for a case of beer from a friend so I didn't care) and a corner lense cracked. He needed a fender, grill, hood, lights, strut, tire, rim, engine compartment metal needed straightening and probably other things as well. The guy was cool about it and admitted that he was an ass. He asked me what I wanted for damage to my truck. I told him $100 (shoulda said more) and he wrote me a cheque and that was that. I never got the bushbar or lense fixed cause the truck was a beater anyways. Made me happy to be driving a big ugly truck.

Conclamo Ludus the logic is this: you hit him. Ergo you're to blame.

I know, it's total bullshit, but that's the logic behind it.

And defensive driving will only get you that far. I was standing before a red light, and some girl was just talking to the person next to her, and hit me in the rear while doing about 50 mph. I got out a bit dizzy :D
Good thing the cops and everyone else were smart enough to realise there is NO WAY I was responsible :)
Only cost 5 and a half grand to fix the car, thank god for insurance
