This is what passes for news in my neck of the woods

Juggalos and Tila Tequila. We're a cultured bunch. |
This helps make more sense out of fresnelly's most recent blog post.
Actually, never mind. No it doesn't. |
Eh, those folk are on the Ohio River side. Us folk on the Mississippi River side don't have much truck with them anyway [/local vernacular]
|
Sorry, dude. I don't speak Illinglish.
|
That's Southern Illinglish, goddamit. We also don't have no truck with those flat landers north of I-64 here in Little Egypt.
|
maybe no truck with them flatlanders, but you do apparently have this:

i'm impressed. |
I would throw stones and feces at her too, as well as the ICP. Have you ever heard their music? It's sickening to hear that trash.

I don't know, if you're NOT feeling a strong urge to hurl stones and feces at Tila Tequila or the ICP something is HORRIBLY, HORRIBLY wrong with you.
Its funny I "get" most genres of music, I may hate them but I at least understand why they have widespread appeal but the whole white trash, redneck, evil clown rappers thing is just completely lost on me, the fans even more so...something had to have gone so very wrong in your life to be a grown adult who builds his whole identity around clown makeup and faygo soda. |
Carefully consider the following if you have not already seen it:
It's absurdly hilarious.. I've been meaning to post this in the Found on the Net forum for a while. The SNL parody is a must see too. These guys are brick-dumb yet they have such a huge fan base, it blows my mind. And now it looks like there's a whole plethora of killer clown based bands on the rise ( ). Are we not supposed to be in the Information Age? I can't even begin to comprehend how stupid someone would have to be to find that sort of lifestyle alluring. Is anybody here a Biologist? It wouldn't surprise me if we found a new trisomies in some of these yuckles' genomes... Clown Syndrome anyone? |
|
Its amazing isn't it IdeoFunk? Fuckin' magnets, how do they work? But if you've met the average ICP fan...well maybe it isn't so hard to figure out. I'm not even sure Tila Tequila is the first one to get pelted with stones and feces at one of these things...I mean why would she even be surprised? Its like crossing the highway at rush hour and wondering why cars are hitting you.
|
Wow, I completely missed how the fans ended up throwing FECES. Hahah, how fitting, just like a pack of wild monkeys.
I actually find this trend very disconcerting. Add in the endlessly growing popularity of the ebonic prison culture and there are some serious questions for the future of America. Is this a failure of the education system? These people obviously have no direction in life or desire to function at all in society. |
i'd have thought that this story was more relevant to the beiber-water bottle story.
no matter how bad her music is (actualy ive never heard of her nor will i look her up to listen to her music either) she doesnt deserve to be pelted with faeces. Thats just plain wrong. like ideofunk, i wonder what sort of demographics she pulls to her concerts |
I'm not really sure what kind of demographic she pulls in to be honest, I would imagine it isn't the same one that ICP pulls in though and that probably played a big role in what happened. Doesn't excuse the behavior but well its ICP fans what else can you expect? I joke around about this stuff because I see and hear about it a LOT and aside from the odd cut or bruise it tends to be pretty harmless but fans need to draw a line. Its funny once in a while when nobody gets hurt but when its something you just do for the sake of doing it...yeah its pretty fucking stupid. I mean really? Feces? Although I'm still not sure that tops the severed gopher heads thrown at a band opening for Bad Religion in Detroit.
I don't really know what the attraction is IdeoFunk, I think like any young person they are looking for some kind of identity or voice and for some apparently that's ICP. What in my mind sets it apart from any other youthful infatuation with a "scene" or band is the almost cult like community they've developed and it seems like fans stay a part of it much longer then you see elsewhere...its REALLY weird and lost on me. |

Oh it has happened before, why am I not surprised MSD? I get teenagers and kids getting involved in this stuff but when you see people in their 20's, 30's or beyond (who should have matured beyond it) still going full blown clown makeup into this scene its a little disconcerting....again something had to have gone horribly wrong somewhere to make that happen.
