I've been expecting a friend to call me to go out today, but I haven't heard from her. While I'm waiting I'm working on a couple personal items, one of which is updating the TFP Chat rooms.

Right now it is installed, I'll be tweaking it all this weekend and the upcoming week.

Cams will be hopefully ready by the end of the week, I'm working out the hosting additions now.

Thank you guys for donating! It's very appreciated and the more donations we receive the more I can upgrade this to fill the needs of the community.

As I have said before, if you can't donate money, donate time by creating new threads, if you can't create new threads, respond to the ones that are created.

It's not working for me, the link gives me an error about "Members Only. Please login via the website." Am I doing something wrong?

The link at the top of the screen still redirects me to Tinychat.

Look up a bit further. In the menu bar, between 'TFP Chatroom' and 'Donate Now!' you should see 'TFP Chat Room Beta.' It took me a minute to spot it myself.

If you're clicking that one and it's redirecting you to tiny chat, well... I don't know what to say. Congratulations, you just broke the internets.

A quick poll of the themes reveals that several of them are lacking chat links.

Also, the ring bell button is just begging to be abused.

When do cameras go live?

For cams we're shooting for the end of the week - in a way this is good because we can tweak and test little bits at a time, and then be ready to go full swing with the last component.

Glad to see all you folks trying it out! Feel free to add any comments or suggestions to this thread.

Any possibility of enabling the user to change the background to a darker shade?

Current setup is white like Al Roker eating rice on a paper plate in a snow storm in gated community in Maine.

Ex: I use the TFP "insignia" skin because it doesn't make my eyeballs want to explode.

P9, yeah I know. I don't have great CSS skills so it will be slower for me to change the screen. I'm learning the parts and pieces as I can, it will get skinned to something matching TFP4.

A certain TFP member *cough*Spinelust*cough* is an expert with CSS. I don't know if she has the time to do it, but she's a real whizkid.

My only suggestions would be to move the cams to the top of the window, with the text below that followed by the input area (similar to tinychat's arrangement) and to let us maximize/resize the chat windows. Seems a little silly to have one tiny cam if only one person is on.

Other than that, looking great so far!

I have to say, it seems pretty cool so far. I would like see the cams a bit bigger and a bit higher resolution. the only thing that really pisses me off with it is I can't open it in a new tab, just a new window. I hate having multiple browsers open.

Working on that layout. It doesn't have dynamic cam docks because it's not all flash. Only the cams are flash, so it has to have more static spaces, I don't think I will ever be able to get it to resize the cams as more people log on or off.

For the moment, I need to have multiple browsers because I need to be able to read and adjust the code and test the chat window. I do this in a dual monitor setup for efficient code compare and insertion.

The other thing is that the integration of our forum software to the chat software requires some setup that you can only login via the link above. Any other links I have made do not work. I'm working on that too, hopefully when I get that down properly, I'll find where it passes opening a whole new browser instance instead of a tab.

It's much snappier, but I agree that TinyChat's layout is better. Unfortunately, nothing is perfect. On the one hand, I really don't like that prochatrooms has lower resolution cams, has two fewer cam slots, doesn't show all cams on one screen, doesn't show cams automatically, and requires you to specifically choose each and every cam to view, but on the other hand the text input is WAY better since it doesn't use flash and unlike Tinychat we don't have to worry about people getting banned for nudity. Starkizzer hasn't been able to use her cam in Tinychat for at least a month since she was banned by them for nudity. The layout is definitely less than ideal though :|

I'm hoping to work on the layout this weekend. I should at least be skinning it when I have time during the week. I can't do anything about the docking of the cams making that automatic.

It's Fancy Food Show this weekend so I've only got Saturday. It's going to be a tight schedule.

For the window that shows my cam, I can see faint image of the cam and sound logo after I move my mouse away. Is this something that can be fixed?

Just wanted to say you're doing a great job on it so far Cythetig. Love the new colors and the removal of the water mark from the chat window. looks great. Keep up the good work, and thanks for spending so much working on this for us.
