The actress playing Jamie Lynn Spears is faking the accent for the video. Jamie Lynn Spears, however, probably does sound similar to that (along with many other people in the American south).

Actually, she doesn't sound quite as 'southern' as those I know from the south.

That chick really does look like Jamie Lynn! I never even questioned that it wasn't her... seems like something she'd do.
