weird incident on the way to school... thoughts? - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

so i'm driving to class today and i pass this car that was painted (by hand) kinda funny. there were some asian writing hand written on the back window which had been lightly covered in red spray paint. anyway, after passing him he pulls up next to me and looks at me (he's asian, btw) and made a hand gesture of some sort (waving me ahead? i wasn't sure), then one of us slowed down, and a minute later he was driving ahead of me and flashed a gang sign, i assume directed at me.

so anyway, me being the occasionally obsessive person i can be, can't really stop thinking about this. is this something i should be worried about? it doesn't seem like there's much in the way of asian gangs in the area, but it's definately weirded me out. can someone take down a license plate and easily get the owners address? am i just being paranoid (i assume so)?

what do you think?

how do you know it was a gang sign? if he was going to go through the trouble of signing you, he wouldn't have kept going.

well, it was a weird formation of his fingers that wasn't any common normal hand gesture. but yeah, since he just kept going, i think i'm just being paranoid. i guess what i currently think is that maybe he was either seeing if i wanted to either race, or if i was a possible rival (i have bloody hand print window clings on my back window and was wearing a winter hat with sunglasses).

so i'm sure i'm just being paranoid, but it's just such a weird experience for me.

Id say your probably paranoid. From what I know of gangs they wont wait out their attack, if you offend them they'll getcha. They wont take the trouble of taking down your licence plate and finding out where you live. They'll jsut follow you down the street and such. You're probably fine.
