TFP Lunch Chat - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Thanks everyone that came and joined me for an extended lunch chat. It was fun to sit at my desk for lunch and not be alone in my office. I had a good time with all of you that came and visited. I hope to try to do this again next week if possible, and get a regular time for doing it.

It's nice to have seen some new faces and many familiar ones. It was also nice to have some staff wander in and out of the room.

If you haven't gotten into our chat room, it livens up in the evenings and late night. Take a moment and maybe invite people into your office for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

I don't want to single anyone out in my OP, but if you stopped by, comment on what you thought of the chat and experience.

For those of you that left early, you missed me ducking out of chat with a quick bosskey hit because at 3:55EST my boss unstealthed right in front of my office.

Even though I was only there for 10 minutes or so, I enjoyed it! I hope we have more chat dates soon.

I think these planned Chat events are an excellent idea and hope to see more. Daytime, nighttime, regional... It's a great way to foster community.

Yes, I'd like to see some evening chats, though I realize it's difficult to span across time zones in the evening. I don't mind popping in during dinner, though

As a suggestion to the non-Americans, please can you post the time in something us foreigners can understand?

had to go and look up when EST was relative to GMT...

Yes, I will make sure that I do that for the next session... I will make the time GMT -5 notation in my next invites.

I noticed the notice for this first chat session, but sorry I couldn't participate in it...and it was not because I was busy doodling

Glad I caught the chat for a few minutes. I don't "chat" well, and can't do it at work, but small doses are fun, occasionally.
If I'm available for the next event, I'll pop in.
