Hello!

It's now New Year's Day here and I am working through a rather roughish hangover after spending New Year's Eve drinking with a bunch of Swedish expats (oh but they know how to pack away the Aquavit).

I know that it is just coming up on midnight on the East Coast of the US and Canada so I just wanted to wish you all a very healthy and prosperous New Year.

I don't have any resolutions and I don't have any plans per se, I just hope to keep on the path of a better life. How about you? Do you have any plans for this year?

This has been one of the more low-key NYE's in recent memory by far, but I wouldn't change a thing.

Happily New Year! We have 2 1/2 more hours to go here in 2008.

We have a house full of teenagers tonight. My oldest daughter turns 18 in a couple of hours, so a New Year/Birthday party it is.

I stayed in with my sweetie. We had dinner and played various games. It was low key and very nice.

We had a nice, quiet evening. The young folks were all out with the best of their friends. QW and I got some cuddle time to reflect on the year and count our blessings, and look ahead to the good things this new year should bring.
Everyone had fun and got home safely. 2009 is off to a great start.
