MSG doesn't make things taste better, it makes us better at tasting things.
Doesn't it? |
I am not sure how MSG is supposed to work.
Is it kind of like a water-wetter for taste buds? All I know is that it doesn't fit my body chemistry well. For me it's similar to BHA, BHT, and trans-fatty-over-processed pretend food. I noticed a huge difference trying to digest these after my gallbladder was removed. I transgressed a tad. Frying chicken does turn out the best when the oil is HOT, the meat doesn't become soaked in oil. I use oils that can be heated at a higher temperature before they smoke. Peanut oil is one. I like to use a very light coating of corn meal, egg, and flour. |
Anybody who likes KFC needs to get themselves down south and try Bojangles.
My own recipe is much cheaper and way tastier, not to mention loads healthier. And Sanders didn't come up with any special recipe. It's how they were making it when he bought his first restaurant. Since then, it has become streamlined. He also wasn't a real colonel. The special sauce in Big Macs is 1,000 island dressing. |
all i know about msg is that it makes my brain feel like a tv set with a wonky horizontal hold for a few minutes after i eat something laced with it, then it gives me cottonmouth worse than the nastiest of schwags does (from what i've read in books about Bad People, cottonmouth is a Bad Thing which is Inflicted on Bad People, who are, because of their Bad-Peopleness, necessarily Drawn to Schwag--it's called "being-toward Schwag" in heidegger...)

It makes me dizzy.

If it doesn't have lots of msg then it isn't for me! KFC out ranks all chicken but ties with popeyes which there are none of near me..... oh well
