MIAMI (Reuters) - A "brothel bus" that detectives said cruised Miami Beach offering lap dances and drinks has taken its last ride, police said on Wednesday.

Riders were offered oral sex for $100, according to Miami Beach police who impounded the limousine bus and arrested its operator early on Sunday.

The sleek black bus cruised the South Beach neighborhood popular among tourists and club-goers, offering rides and unlimited drinks for $40.

Aboard, undercover detectives said they found a fully stocked bar and several young women who stripped down to reveal G-strings stuffed with cash and offered to perform sex acts.

Suspected operator Christine Morteh, 29, was arrested on charges of offering to commit prostitution, transportation for the purpose of prostitution and operating a business without a license. She was released from jail on $5,000 bond.

Employees and customers also were charged as part of a citywide prostitution crackdown that resulted in 75 arrests.

In all seriousness- is this really the best use of tax dollars? I just don't care if people want to swap cash for sex. In fact it kind of pisses me off we spend so much energy trying to catch people engaging in this business.

I've never agreed that prostitution should be illegal. It is the worst possible application of law enforcement.

As the late but great George Carlin said, and I paraphrase: Selling is legal. Fucking is legal. Why isn't selling fucking legal? Why would it be illegal to pay for something that you normal get for free?

And I second everyone that thinks the cops should spend there time on more worthwhile tasks.

I think that there is no reason prostitution should remain illegal, it should be regulated and taxed like every other business. More money for the government this way too. And less diseases being passed around, as part of the requirement for working as a prostitute is a clean bill of sales (you know what I mean).

The oldest woman listed is supposedly 29...by her mugshot, I'd say they're off by about 25 years.....

And yes, for a change I am following the crowd-prostitution should decriminalized.

Here's the thing... just because it's legal doesn't mean I have to partake. Eating at McDonald's is currently legal... doesn't mean I want to eat there. There are much better establishments on offer that offer appetizing foods.

Well considering their line of work, the fact that they were just arrested, the undiffused and non-flattering flash directly to the face and the fact that the only hookers that look like models are $X000+ escorts or cops - I dare any of you to find a better looking local hooker than number #2 and I'll paypal you for her services.

While not the hooker bus, I saw the greatest idea: a human powered bus bar. Yes, a big bus-like bar powered drunk people peddling on bicycles. This was the greatest idea ever, and I wish I could have found it a second time for a beer or seven. The bus driver is the bar tender.
