Help choosing Womens Watch

Im stuck on deciding what watch I should choose as a birthday gift. They are all around the same price range but im caught between these 3.

Or if any of you guys can reccomend some choices that would be great. Looking for a gold rectangular watch around 1000 mark.

I like the Gucci link, but the Movado looks a bit more feminine.

Movado ...it's smoother, softer, simpler, lighter, overall more feminine.

I asked my girlfriend in the room, she likes the Movado.

Also, this poll is a little tricky. The images are not in order with the choices of the poll.

I think that the Movado looks the best for a female. Most elegant looking of the 3. And it doesn't have that stupid Gucci name on it.

That first one is stunning and unique.
The others, honestly, seem more mundane and generic in my eyes.

I'm a watch freak and have more watches than socks (ok, that's an exaggeration, but only a mild one). Of those three, I'd say the Movado... it just looks cleaner than the other two.

Question - who is it for? Is it for you, or for someone else? (sorry, I don't know your gender)

Depending on the lady in question, a vintage piece might be cool - you could but a really nice 60s-70s gold Omega in very good condition for that kind of money.

something more attractive about the Movado, it looks almost like a feminine bracelet, the others do not, to me - that's my vote.

Different colours for different occasions. Personally I don't wear gold as it doesn't suit my image or my skin colouring, but some people wear it well, particularly if they also wear other jewellery of that colour. I'd sooner wear white gold.

I'd choose the Movado simply because it's the most flatteringly photographed but there really doesn't seem to be anything particularly special about any of them.

Are you interested in Tourneau at all? Beautiful watches within the same price range as the Movado...

no, sorry if i was misunderstood; this was directed at the original poster...

if i was going to spend that amount of money on my wife or girlfriend, i'd make damn sure she got something that she wanted rather than something i "thought" she wanted...

Personally, I can't imagine liking a woman that didn't get mad at me for spending $1000 on a $.38 item.
I should say something productive though, so I'm not just out trolling. Here it is. Assuming you put tons of effort into selecting the wrong one. She'd never notice. It says Gucci. You win. If she wants the name, I'm guessing she couldn't care less about delineating between faceted edges or links vs. solid band. Close you eyes, point.

Taste. Some people like the minimalist, uncluttered look. Others like fancy, complicated watches with chronograph dials and the like. Like this Breitling:

I love it, personally. But I can see how some people might think it's too much.

That's waaaaaaaaay too cluttered.

Movado style watch of the Museum collection is the one I like best:

Basically clean background with lines for numbers. Yum.

Sorry for going off topic.

OOOo that second one is pretty neat, allaboutmusic. The first photo is unfortunately a red x.

Pretty dang uncluttered face. If only the rest of it had smoother lines. Bothers me that the band is a different color and detachable.

Fixed the picture of the first one.

The second one is available with different colours. What's REALLY cool about that watch is that the ball bearing rolls around inside the watch, until you hold the watch level, then the ball rolls to the correct hour position using magnetic energy.

Yes, the ball bearing rolls to the hour. In the picture, it's about half past twelve.
