vegas for spring break!!!

my girlfriend and i are heading out there and i'm curious as to any off the path things that are great to do. i want to hit up the ellis island brewery (for obvious reasons), but other than that, we don't really have any plans, other than the normal vegas stuff....any suggestions vegas people??? any other breweries??? this will be our second time in vegas. we went last spring break as well....thanks duders!!!!

edit: i'm an idiot....and have a short memory!!! i asked this same question last year, right about this time. i checked out that thread as well. if you happen to have something new...AWESOME!!!!!....if not....sorry to take up bandwidth!!!!!!! hahahahaha

how much do you like the outdoors? the red rocks area just outside vegas is pretty scenic ... i've heard valley of fire state park is also really beautiful but i haven't been there myself. may be worth a drive if you're both into that...

good luck!

radioguy 03-02-2008 06:46 PM

Go rental a fully automatic weapon and fire it on a gun range

Seriously. It's a hell of a lot of fun and pretty safe if you follow the basic rules.

Vegas a great place to go for spring break...I have to go again sometime

radioguy 03-03-2008 04:16 PM

man, i must be odd or something, but that red rock thingy and the gun store do not appeal to me at all. what's wrong!?!?!??!?!?!?! hahaha...but thanks for all the suggestions! a buddy of mine told me about o'sheas. it's right on the strip. it's a smaller/older casino with cheap drinks and a great atmosphere. anybody every been there? thanks again!

The_Jazz 03-03-2008 05:21 PM

O'Sheas is a good college kid place. Since that's what you are, you'll probably enjoy it. Just don't expect high-rollers or much more than the average "Vegas Night" at the Pike House (actually, less than that, now that I think it through) and you won't be disappointed.

The pool at the Mandalay is fantastic if you can get in. And if it's open. There's a wave pool, real sand on the deck, a "lazy river" and a topless part.

The Liberace Museum is actually kind of cool. So is the Stratosphere.

Actually, Warren, why do YOU tell us what kind of stuff you like. Otherwise, we're shooting in the dark.

radioguy 03-03-2008 06:58 PM

nice jazz...nice!!!!! i'm a fan of beer....love breweries....love down home, fun, gamble with your buddy type stuff! my girl is going to see mamma mia on t. patty's day, so i've got a couple of hours to kill that night as well. the fancy casinos are cool to see, but i don't want to spend a ton of time in there. we're staying at the riviera, so any brewery or cool little pub type hangout place is what we are looking for. thanks bro!

OSHEAS SOUNDS PERFECT!!!

WOW, it's so beautiful that I want to go there, maybe sometimes

Cirque du Soleil?

The show "Le Reve" at the Wynn has been my favourite thus far. I visit Vegas usually around 2-3 times a year.

Scorps 03-04-2008 10:59 AM

Sema show would be something to go see if your into cars.

Thats not a Cirque du Soleil production. It was put together by a couple of the members that left Cirque.

We are going to see Love at the Mirage when we are out there in a couple of weeks.
Already saw Ka, O, Mystere and Zumanity.

One has to be in the industry to get into SEMA.
