Liverpool - European Capital of Culture 2008
 

Well, the day has finally arrived that my home town - Liverpool - officially becomes the European Capital of Culture for the year 2008! :thumbsup:

Since it was first anounced what seems like years ago now, the City Centre has been Crane City! Apparently one third of all the cranes in Europe have been in Liverpool for the last 3 years, there's that much building work going on.

I wondered if any of our tfp Brothers and Sisters have had the same honour bestowed upon their home towns.

Sweet! The city needs a boost and this is just the ticket.
