Slat...

1. A narrow strip of metal or wood, as in a Venetian blind.
2. A movable auxiliary airfoil running along the leading edge of the wing of an airplane.
3. slats Slang. The ribs.

Something about the way it sounds, I guess.

Korosu. Japanese for 'kill'. Not that I like going around telling people I'm going to kill them, it just sounds cool.

"Weh" - It's sort of an inside joke for those of us who know what that is. Very, very few I imagine.

I also like "indeed".

shithooks 10-05-2003 07:27 PM

anechoic - pretty cool sounding...

didactic

wicked

all three are pretty neat...

Rippley 10-10-2003 01:40 AM

Clarity.
Pronounced with the hard t, it has a razor edge to it... To me anyway.
Other than that, "indeed" and "eloquench", the last one I made up...and by mistake, trying to be eloquent while drunk...

CUNT!

no other word has this much power!

matthew330 10-10-2003 07:51 AM

not a real word (therefore no formal spelling) but you'd be surprised by how many people pretend it is when you use it: jentzed (pronounced yenst). My dad's a doc and has spoken to patients, nurses, and other docs and used this word in conversation as in "blah blah blah and I'm feeling very jentzed about that" response: nodding of head. Then he'd say "Do you know what i mean when i say I'm feeling very jentzed. Without fail they'd all say "Oh yeah yeah, sure, I know what you mean." Only once did one of his doctor friends pull him aside and say "You know i've heard you use that on multiple occasions, but what exactly does jentzed mean?"

Try it - it's fun.
