Hey! The pants I'm wearing don't even have pockets. I just noticed that.

But if they did, they'd be empty.

well here in the city we have lots of bag stores.... so I carry a bag as well since I don't like the idea of carrying a large backpack or messenger bag as I tend to just carry a bunch of extra crap. But all that stuff that weighs down your pants would be in the manbag.

as far as the reciept. I haven't cleaned out my pockets until just now. I reached in and found this receipt from last thursday when uber and I went to In-N-Out after I got to LA. It was the inspiration for this thread.

I typically carry most of my stuff in a purse that fits into my backpack. Purse contains: planner, iPod, headphones, cell phone, debit card, credit card, driver's license, Costco card, coffee punchcard, cash, change for parking meters, mechanical pencil, pen, and gum. My backpack always has gum, mechanical pencil, pen, Clif Bars, and headphones in it, in addition to my school notebook and textbooks. I used to carry more stuff in my pockets, but that has changed because of my job. Childcare means I have to carry my cell phone constantly and usually need my calendar to write down appointments in. Plus, I like being able to carry a paperback book with me, in case of boredom.

i have a "string of all things useful" in my pocket. it's a shoelace. on it is a knife, nail clippers, P-38 can opener (google that) and leatherman micro (with scissors and tweezers). i also have a pen, a cell phone, and a little plastic ninja (that you get out of a gumball machine) and a notepad.

I'm pretty boring. Wallet, keys, loose change and a lighter, not because I smoke, but because if there's one thing I've learned from my Survivorman viewing is always have a way to make a fire with you, eh?

Wallet, Cell Phone and my Pocket knife. I've also got some empy space in there and some pocket lint.

Sadly the pockets on women's pants aren't made to hold much, so generally speaking I don't have much in my pockets ever. Today I have a about $0.50 in change and that's it.

I always carry around a big messenger bag that usually has all my music in it, stage makeup, dance shoes, often a clean change of clothes, books to read, any paperwork I might need for the day, and the basics like my phone and wallet. Being a performer, I always need to be prepared.

The first three items are almost permanently in my pockets. I remove the VW ID Card when I get home, and then add car keys when I'm traveling. Pretty compact, IMO.

I'm surprised to find out that I'm at post 55, and I'm the first person posting naked. Yup, no pockets at all.

If I were wearing pants, I'd have contact lens eye drops, nothing else.

I used to carry a wallet, a Palm TX, a knife, and my keys, and sometimes my cell phone in my pants pockets. I got tired of heavy pants, so now I have a man-bag.

If I were wearing pants, they would contain my wallet (which is too thick), my cell phone (which will give me testicular cancer), my passport (no other form of ID), maybe a pack of American Spirits blue, and either a Zippo, a bic or a Djeep lighter.
Oh, and my mp3 player (Creative zen v plus) and earbuds (if im not carrying my giant ass geeky audiophile headphones.

so as I finish up my lunch I dig into my pockets finding the $1 bill. I jab it back into my pocket. I decide that I could use a salad to top off my lamb vindaloo and rice. I get a small salad @$6.10/lb and as I get to the register to pay for the $1.28 sald I have. I can't find the dollar.

I dunno what happened to it, but it disappeared. It's gone. Nowhere. I emptied out my pockets and that is how I know what I had in them.

So I charged $1.28 to my Citibank American Airlines Mileage card. :) MILES! they add up!
