Spring Break Vegas

I'm finally turning 21 and what better way to celebrate it than flying to Vegas for a weekend. I can finally drink legally and kicking it off with a bang! I'm going to be staying at New York New York and have a strong itinerary set up. I'm leaving in a little over 5 weeks and can't wait.

Problem is, I'm a little worried about drinking heavily with the medication I'm taking. I've been taking a generic of Paxil (Paroxetine) for about two months and it's been doing wonders for my anxiety. I think it would probably be a good idea to wean myself off it before I go on my trip, and resume it afterwards. I have had a couple experiences with drinking while on Paroxetine and my drinking limit has been cut in half. I certainly plan on drinking all weekend so I want to be safe about it. So my plan is to cut my doses in half two weeks prior to the trip, then go without it a week before. Does this sound like a safe, smart plan? I realize I will get a lot of replies telling me to consult a doctor, but I'd like to get a better idea first.

Have fun in Las Vegas, my girlfriend went a couple of years ago and said it's the funnest place on EARTH!

I can't put it any better than that. Only your doctor should be answering this sort of question. He'll know your medical history better than random strangers on the internet.
