inbound toll-free phone question

I'm looking at doing some work for my family's business--I guess that you could call it consulting or maybe coaching. This will be done mostly on the phone, but they are in Kansas and Colorado (mostly) and I am in Boston.
I've been thing of getting an inbound 800 (or 866, or whatever) some kind of toll free inbound phone service. Are these services expensive? Anyone have any experience with that kind of phone service?
Thanks,
Lindy

I use an 800 inbound for my business. Like everything telephone related, it is probably best to shop around for the best rates. It's my belief that an 800# is a must for clients who need to reach you.
