Air lawsuit? Man sues because he looks like Jordan

A Portland, Ore., man is suing Michael Jordan and Nike founder Phil Knight for a combined $832 million. Allen Heckard filed suit, contending he has been mistaken for Jordan nearly every day for 15 years and he's tired of it.

"I'm constantly being accused of looking like Michael, and it makes it very uncomfortable for me," Heckard said.

Heckard is suing Jordan for defamation and permanent injury and emotional pain and suffering.

He's suing Knight for defamation and permanent injury for promoting Jordan.

At 6 feet tall, Heckard is 6 inches shorter than Jordan. But he does bear a resemblance with a shaved head, an earring in his left ear and conditioning from, yes, playing basketball.

How he decided to sue for $416 million each?

"Well, you figure with my age and you multiply that times seven and, ah, then I turn around and, ah, I figure that's what it all boils down to."

Is this guy an asshole or what! Tying up the legal system to stroke himself is insane.
He won't get any $ is he just looking 5 seconds of fame? That's all he better get, I'll be pissed if the tv talk shows buy into this BS!

Hey! My wife says I look like Brad Pitt!...or was it Brad Smith from the bakery? Anyway I think I'd get more money from Brad Pitt though.

I'd love to know the theory behind those numbers. Also, it seems like he is going to have a really hard to proving that looking like Jordan is actually a bad thing.

He should stop eating Big Macs and Hot dogs, grow out his hair, put on some weight, and get a life.

Or he can move to Vegas and make a good living. He could even be a double for Jordan, like Saddam used to have.

Maybe he should sue all those people who mistook him for Jordan over 15 years.

Or maybe he can now sue the media for publishing this story, as now even more people know that he looks like Michael Jordan.

Ah, the possibilities for frivolous litigation are endless... I just hope he's got a big bank account!

Good point. I guess it would be easy if people were constantly phoning him in the middle of the night to say, "Hey, you look like Michael Jordan!" Somehow though, I just don't see that happening.

LOL, welcome the the US, everyone has the right to sue.

This should get thrown out of court if it even gets that far.

I wonder if someone could get his email, we could all spam him to death telling him what an idiot he is.

He should be sentenced to pay the court costs of all involved parties, including the real Michael Jordon.

He considers being mistaken for the One and Only Michael Jordan, the greatest athlete ever to grace the planet, "defamation?"
