First Time Tattoo
 

Hey what's up?

I'm thinking about getting a tattoo but am not sure what to get and WHEN to get it. I know WHERE I'm gonna get it - my inside right wrist.

My choices were:

1) Biohazard symbol

2) Japanese Kanji which would say:
- Strength
- Samurai Strength or Warrior Strength (my Japanese friend said she'd have me get Samurai because I remind her of one. Quite an honor IMO)
- Strength Honor & Integrity

I'm gonna have an artist draw on my arm and carry it around for a few days see if I like it.

Also courious -

1) Is there is a metallic silver color and

2) how does silver look on pale skin?

Also I'm a bodybuilding hobbyist (no plans to take 'roids or go pro). Right now I'm 230 and 20% bodyfat but cutting soon (hoping for 7% bodyfat at 197). Is this gonna affect my tattoo? Weight loss would be gradual 2 lbs of fat per week at most.

By the way, where could I get a henna kit, and how would I make my design? Or is there a place to get a custom henna in the east bay area/San Francisco

Search other tat threads for good tat advice. Biohaz symbol probably wouldn't be a good idea unless it has specific meaning for you. Also, unless you are japenese or have some blood, why get it in their language? If it is something for looks then at least look up an old language and get it in that instead of getting something so cliche.

I doubt silver would look good, but just ask when you go, im sure they'd know.
