No but they can't operate without insurance and the insurance isn't getting any cheaper despite the changes being made.

I think some of the changes have probably been good. Some kids really do hurt themselves pretty bad.
But there does have to areas, whether on grass, on woodchip, or on sand - where kids can really run and climb. Perhaps as somebody says, a designated area, which is fairly safe. I can also see it from the school's point of view. It's not fun to see a kid loose a tooth, break a bone or split their head/face open. |
This is just silly. i remember swinging on those huge metal swing sets when i was in grade school seeing if you could swing higher then that bar 12 feet up in the air then jump off and fly 10 feet or so. that was good fun. i dont remember anyone ever getting hurt doing that and we did it every day at recess. kids need to get out and have fun on a playground. if they dont get that stupid stuff out of them on a playground where adults are around watching they will just do it when adults are not around. If they get hurt when no adults are around its just going to be that much harder to get help.
