author's comments:
here's my entry for the autumn society's upcoming east meets east show at AxD. the show is a visual exploration of japanese pop culture's effect on american pop culture.

my original pieces, (oh-so cleverly titled "cowboy" and "samurai") will be available as individually framed, very limited (only 2 each!) 10" x 20" prints.

i'll be attending wizard world philly all day on friday, but i'm going to try to stop by the gallery for the opening...hope to see you there!

The Walking Dead is probably one of the greatest comic books of the last decade,
so it was no surprise when AMC picked it up and decided to make a TV show out
of the '70s series. The Walking Dead follows the story of a group of that must band
together in order to survive a zombie apocalypse. Sure the idea itself sounds cliche
and anything George A. Romero has already created, but it’s so much more than that.
The Walking Dead focuses more about the entire aspect of survival, than the
zombies themselves. Sure they’re still a huge part of the comic and upcoming show,
but The Walking Dead focuses more on the human beings and their sanity as they
go through this new hell on earth.

+ bonus

First set photo of AMC’s "The Walking Dead"! Many of the people who have read
the comics should know what is happening in this set picture. I don’t want to spoil it,
but it’s actually a very touching moment in the comic and gives you a very great
feel for Rick Grimes' character.

Nah, we both probably have that touch of perfectionism trait, it's just I feel more at ease without small red liner notes of how, exactly, I was too slow (or depending, too quick) to the draw in submitting a post, sans all things in the order I ideally wanted it. I still don't know why I do this, if only to appease myself, 'cause I know not much of anyone else cares how the layout of any of my posts looks and "feels".

that's using your handy-dandy skills, fair maiden ; hm, if I wasn't so amazed right now that I actually have a returning contributor here, I'd have to reckon that, perhaps, just maybe, does it look like the above image might actually be a screen capture from some obscure cartoon? Alas, the web-searching prowess I have so flagrantly been touting has failed to ascertain an answer (this time).

/conducts mopey face -- Oh! Just came to me; I haven't watched it in a few years, but for those that are more keen on this, could the above image actually be from an episode of The Venture Bros., I ask?

Then my dignity and ever-burgeoning prowess as an everything archivist remains intact.
Thanks for the contextual follow-up, ring. The show is an adult-oriented animated series
(that means a slightly-higly-sophomoric-nerdery cartoon, with excessive violence, debauchery and $%^&! words)
building off the premise of such adventure cartoons of olde as Johnny Quest, and
The Justice League, as well as stories "borrowed" from popular pulp fiction magazines.

I think I finally remember it. .. watching it, that is. Perhaps the episode in which Samson, for one reason or another, loses his secret-spy/baby-sitting responsiblities, and has a dreaming delusion of his boss, and I don't know where I'm going with this.

Took a while, but I found it. Watch it or not, it says the episode will expire in one week's time.
