Shadows as art
I found these on a tumblr blog, but have no idea who the artist is. Too bad...I'd love to give credit to whoever put the time and creative effort into these shadow images.

It's really not tht difficult anymore to find and attribute the correct authrship to images/photography.
I personally think TinEye has become the TFP's best new separate online application to use since SeeqPod. The author(s) for the first triad of images are Tim Noble & Sue Webster. It took me less than seven seconds to find this information, and then just an additional 20-30 seconds to verify it. Additional detailas about their work can be found here |
To revisit it, the last image you posted was also photographed "semi-professionally", meaning the original artist should be (but most often, isn't) at least mentioned as creator of the work displayed, or else be deemed as in violation of copyright (which for the most part, is the hardest and most run-about law to enforce online continously, unless you are a very well-known photographer).
Anway, this photo, also seen above as posted by seamaiden, is entitled "Presence", and was authored by French artist "grougrou", with aid from, and posing as muse to his photo-manipulated image, the band Divine Paiste. |

Thanks for finding that information...but trust me when I say it would take me a LOT longer than a few seconds to find anything on the internet. You have no idea of my computer awareness...it's very limited. I struggle with most of it, but luckily live with a geek. A very patient geek. |

The above is a shirt design submitted to Threadless, entitled "Favela", by Sabina Iglesias Arvide
('Favela' is a Brazilian term to signify a lower-class, subsidized sort of shanty-town-homes in many parts of the neighborhoods found in the bigger cities). [abduzeedo.] - - - http://i42.tinypic.com/9j0g0x.jpg Faces in the Sand ... (finally found the source) ... by Angelforu |
