“Don’t Stop Me Now” in Super Mario World
I'm not absolutely sure if this is by the same creator of this video, but it'd be stretch to think they aren't related in any way whatsoever.
I've decided to feature both LoganSnake's original preamble, and a topical quote by a twisted telekinetic to introduce this video's sheer awesomeness and intricate detail: "In summary, so people can appreciate the video, Mario goes through this huge level with no player, no buttons pressed. The ROM hack has it so that the level starts, and from there, he moves throughout the stage, until the end, automatically. Also, things that trigger sound effects (SMW sound effects) happen in sync with the songs." Super International Rock Group Queen is featured. Quote:
parting shot: If you can't get enough Queen hits being melded into triumphs from your childhood, be sure to catch up on this topic as well. |
is this the original Super Nintendo version of this game?
|
No, it's not. It might have taken me eight years (on-and-off) to beat Super Mario World to 100% completion, but I can assure you, there is no instance of a "Queen" stage, or an entire Ozzy Osbourne level.
This video, along with many others like it, are created using ROM hacks that allow the user to build a SMW stage however they would like it, from fairly simple to impossibly complex, with or without the original background music still intact. |
Wow, quote from forever ago. This was really cool, although once it split into a 4 pane it lost something, as my eyes were only able to see 1/4th (at best) of the in-game triggers for the sounds. I'd rather have had a complex soundscape that I could follow completely.
