Floating Head ; I only found half of it funny (the first half) but it is pretty "make no sense at all"-worthy, so I suppose it belongs.

It's inane, and I'm really hoping it's not a real advertisement yet, as it will set us back 25 years, but those last 10 seconds killed me.

[music video]

(don't self-deprecate) - I found this video be quite the earworm, it's very visually-striking, and while it may be disturbing to a few, I also found it hilarious.
(because I'm a weirdo ; dammit, I said don't.) Ialso think it's a right-convincing coincidental accoutrement to my previously-embarked "Surreal Scapes".
(because I'm a shill, and I think I've turned the TFP into my massive, sub-categorized "blog".)

Low Shoulder
Directed by Elisha Smith-Leverock & Chris Murdoch
Produced and Edited by Stamp Films (Ryan Boucher)
Music by Toro Y Moi
Released on August 21, 2010
Distributed by Carpark Records
{If you'd prefer to view the video on YT, you may click HERE}

Low Shoulder was shot in studio and on location at the Marina Cafe on Mare Street, Hackney on very small budget with the help of a rather energetic and like-minded crew.

author's comments:
For the video to Toro Y Moi's latest single "Low Shoulder" the directors Elisha Smith-Leverock and Chris Murdoch have drawn inspiration from everything from pulp magazines and Cinderella to sploshing and mono-brows. It's a nod to Italo-horror flics form the 70s and 80s. It features an appearance by 60s It-girl Daphne Sherman, wife of the legendary mod tailor Ben Sherman, who stars as a demented ballroom dancing reject / waitress.
"According to Chaz the song was written for his girlfriend asking her to not fall asleep whilst driving.
We based the video on the idea of this sleep-deprived girl calling at a roadside diner for a coffee.
Next thing you know she's semi-conscious and experiencing some really weird sh**"

de "Pop Negro" [music video]

Bombay
Directed by Nicolas Mendez
Produced by Alba Barneda
Music by El Guincho, with Editing by Young Turks
Released on September 24, 2010
Production/Distribution by Canada

{If the above video should break, a redirect link: Bombay HD }

This completely off the hook El Guincho video is actually a trailer for a larger film and it's NSFW unless maybe your job is screening fetish films.
Lots of painted breasts, breasts with sparklers, breasts with guns, foot sucking -- I think there may be a sex act with some kind of vacuum cleaner too.

El Guincho, aka Pablo Díaz-Reixa is one strangely amazing dude who, growing up on the Canary Isles, was starved for 80's pop culture.
He was just "a homeboy, who didn't know about much except the beach and the sea."
But he found a talent for music, and nurtured it in Paris and Barcelona. Young Turks / XL Recordings
just released his 2nd album, "Pop Negro" which he mixed with Jon Gass (Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston).

Feast your eyes on "Bombay," directed by Nicolas Mendez, El Guincho's steel drummed, psyche-tropical trip into the human cosmos.

This video is pretty off-the-wall bananas in its stupendous appeal...

... and I'm not sure what I'm doing featuring it here first, of all places, but I'm trying to curate soft soap videos that, at first glance, are ridiculous, but given enough time to cultivate a "following" that understands, only then does it look to flourish.

Here it is:

Leadership lessons from dancing guy by Derek Sivers.

original: YouTube - Sasquatch music festival 2009 - Guy starts dance party

surprising take: I just wasted ten minutes scouring kym for some sort of confirmation that this was picked up widespread, but I haven't found any, which may mean, there isn't any. However, THIS helped some.

Bill Murray “rants” about high tech in raw footage for an unaired tech
trend show called “Wired In”
(1982).

exceptional excerpts:
• "People have hands... Watches should have hands."
• "Who in the hell is thinkin' up this stuff? High tech stuff."
• "I don't mind robots. I mean, R2D2 was alright. He was a fine actor."
