Interesting Table of Data Thefts
 

I came across this table while reading the latest on the TJX data loss incident.

Data Thefts 2005-2007

I found it really interesting the amount of data thefts that, for the most part, never really got much publicity. I, myself, found several thefts listed from databases that I was likely included in, and I had no idea that information may have been out there.

I also found it interesting that the highest reported data theft was from physical security breech, and not electronic means, when most of what we hear about when you think "ID Theft" is protecting yourself online from scams, fishing, etc., not physical security of the information you provide to trusted parties.

Anyway, just thought i'd share... anyone else find themselves a potential "victim" of a data breech on this list that you didn't have prior knowledge of?
