Logitech mx518
Gaming mouse. Certainly looks cool, so far hasn't made me a better gamer. 1600 dpi. When I turn it all the way up there's like no way I can control it. It moves incredibly fast.
I was wonder if anyone else has one of these mice that they use and how they use it. I've considered turning the sensetivity down and using it on 1600, but so far I just stick with 800. |

Do you even use the sensitivity change buttons? I don't know many people who game with multiple sensitivities (not like it's hard to set up), and I sure as hell can't do it very well.

I just got mine and I have to say I am pleased overall. I figured on a senstivity that I liked for browsing/working/etc. so I use the up and down buttons for scrolling. My one problem comes from the occasional problem when I click on the up or down scroll button instead of scrolling the 3 lines I have it set to it scrolls all teh way to the top or bottom. Its slightly annoying and I never had this problem with my old 510. They released some new drivers today and it didn't fix the problem. Hopefully in the future!

They're about $50 bucks. If you buy it from Amazon (and not one of their sellers) you get free shipping. It's a sweet mouse, but I think the switchable sensitivity thing is a gimmick. You can get a 510 for less than $30 now.
Wired, btw. I can't stand wireless either, in my experience they are not nearly as responsive. |

Word of advice: If you're LAN gaming, get a WIRED mouse. Not even LAN gaming, I was over a friends house with my laptop, and we both had wireless mice. As we're playing Call of Duty, the response on my mouse sucked monkey ass. I finally figured it out when he turned his mouse off that our mice signals must have interfered with each other.
Wireless mice are great when it comes to everyday use, but when you need that extra bit of speed and precision, wired is best.
