DOOM 3 Crashing
Okay so I bought DOOM 3 a couple of days ago, errr fine, I bought it yesterday. And I can only get about 15 min of playing in before it just crashes; if I start it up again it crashes in the same spot again. The only way play an aditional 15 minuits of game is to reset my computer after each crash, and this is pretty annoying.
Any of you guys know what might be causing this? If it means anything I have a Radeon 9600pro graphics card, 1 gig of ram and an amd 2500+ barton. Thanks |

you ever heard of counter strike? my comp wich is a year or so old.. home build here.. crashes when i play the worlds most recource-less game. its a 2ghz P4 512Mb of ram, radion 9700pro 128.. for starters and that game requires 400Mhz processor 16mb or ram and a minimum of a 32mb graphics card..
sometimes games just dont work.. i would suggest maybe updating to the catalyst 3.2 or whats out now.. thats my idea.. and are you running an illegal version of XP? because that could be a problem also if you try and update the drivers.. thats just my input.. good luck, and that game is to fucking scary for me

Okay I guess I will have to update my drivers and see how that works, do I just go to the ATI website for that? If so I'll have to wait a week or so before I do becuase that computer is still offline as of yet.
And yea the POS computer im using now runs counter-strike great! |
