I have an account under the username Washington.

I recently suffered a harddrive crash and now that my comp is up and running again, my password is not saved in the browser like before..and I dont remember it.

After trying 5 times, it asked me for my email address to send me info on how to set a new one. I put the email adress in, and it said that I should recieve instructions shortly.

I never recieve them. Somehow hotmail is blocking it or somethign...yet I recieve the email that says someone is trying to log in 5 times and failed...

Anyway...I created this account (Washington2) so that I could post this message.

My real account name is Washington.

I would appreciate some help :} Thanks so much.

I just went into the profile for Washington. You should receive an email about how to reset your password.

I did..nothing in there. I get the emails that advise me that someone has tried to login 5 times unsuccessfully..so I dont htink its getting banned....

please understand that the moderators and admins don't know everyone personally and to just send an email to another email address would be a security violation.

this even happened to me BEFORE I was a moderator and I had to adjust to it.

i'm going to again ask that you make sure that you don't have ANY spam filter on your hotmail account, including making sure that you aren't filtering by accepting email from people in your address book.
