Arrows?

I need some help...I have a custom made recurve-55lbs at 28in and I need to get some arrows for it. I haven't shot in about 7 years so all my old ones are too short.(I've grown.) I've been thinking about getting some carbon arrows, but I only have experience with cedar ones. I would like some advice both on type of arrow and broadhead to use for wite-tail deer hunting.

Thanks in advance.

My father shoots a bear recurve and seems to like the Gold Tip carbon composite arrows, however, before buying arrows go to a pro shop and see if you can shoot any before you buy.

Broadheads is a whole different animal. For Deer, pretty much anything you pick up will work. I prefer two blade non-replaceable (traditional) where as my father and brother really seem to like Rocky 3-blade. I will never use mechanical (more shit to go wrong), but they seem to have a good reputation lately.

Whatever your choice, buy a few extra and practice with them.

I would go with carbon. Less of a chance you will bend 'em!

There are a ton of different carbon types out there and they are all good in their own way.

Personally I'd recommend looking at some of Easton's aluminum arrows with the cedar pattern on them. You get the advantage of having some decent aluminum arrows while still retaining some of the traditional look of wood.

As far as broadheads go, NOTHING beats good old solid Thunderheads. Tough as nails and worth every penny.
