Mail services dont offer discounts to my knowledge...I've never seen a "sale" at the post office or fedex or ups, but lots of places have cheaper/no shipping rates if you purchase over a certain dollar amount

you can shop around for cheaper shipping but there's no "friends and family" discount... especially not this time of year.
the post office has flat rate shipping boxes -w hcih is basically anything you can stuff into a box will be shipped for one price.. thats a good deal usually
