Well here is how the story goes: tonight my gf rented a hotel room and some of her friends got a hotel room too. My girlfriend is 17. Well my gf wanted me to come over so I could spend some time with her. Well her mom didn't want me to be over. Well I came over anyways. Well we where watching tv and I heard a knock on the door. It was her mom.

Well I hid in the bathroom and she let her mom in. Her mom came in and oh boy was she fucking pissed. She started to yell and scream at her daughter and told her she was grounded and slapped her and told me to come out from hiding. Well I did and she said she was gonna call the cops for statuatory rape. Then I grabbed my shoes and keys and ran. Well her mom caught me in the parking lot and yelled at me for having two beers and said she was gonna call the cops on me and get me for a dwi and zero tolerance (i'm 19) and ask me how disappointed my parents would be. Well I drove away.....My gf will be 18 in two weeks. And I never had sex with her in my life. Should I be worried about going to court?????

do you know if she is a virgin still? if she IS, you're safe. if she isnt you could have some trouble trying to prove that you DIDNT do anything with her.

Her mom followed her to a hotel to protect her daughter from you? I'd say you have to worry about her more than you have to worry about court, where you won't end up if there's no proof that you'd been drinking. You shouldn't drink and drive, but I wouldn't worry about legal problems.

I don't think it is statutory rape in most states if you are close in age to the girl.

But the mom is no good. If you stay with the girl, you will always have to put up with her moms shit.

I say fuck the girl on principle.

After that, you can decide whether you guys have a future together. You shouldn't be worried about getting busted for statutory rape though, I dont' think. What state do you live in?

18 is legal in your state, but I seriously doubt that you would get in much trouble for such a small age difference. If her mother has no way of proving you had the alchohol, I wouldn't worry about it.
I find the age of consent at 14 in some states disturbing. 16? sure, but 14? christ...
Yes, I checked the info from other sources, and it all appears to be valid. Oh, I forgot to mention that laws can be tricky in some states, alaska for example is 18 OR 3 years, IE 15/18,16/19,17/20... I'd do a lil research.

If she's really cool, and you think you want to be with her forever, stay with her. The only issue is, you have to deal with mum for ever too... You got to weigh the pro's and the con's.

Well I checked out the laws and i'm ok with that. Her mom called me and wants to have dinner soon so I can talk. I love my gf and all but i just might blow it off.

I've been through a similar experience. What'll save your ass is how much the girl loves you, and sticks up for you to her parents. Since her mom has called you, it sounds to me like your girl is doing exactly what she should do. You should realize this as well, and go to dinner and make peace.

I'd say you probably shouldn't have tried to hide when the mom entered, considering the fact that she knew you were there anyway. Had you just casually sat there, and continued to watch TV, she wouldn't have suspected you two of sex, and might not have reacted so badly. Just some hindsight from my own experiences. Go to dinner with mom though.

True that. For any future girlfriends that you plan on going to a hotel with, remember that if their parents come after you, DO NOT HIDE. It just gives them all the more reason to suspect you. And yeah, go to dinner because it shows that you aren't afraid to stick up for yourself and set things right.

My guess is that his girlfriend didn't tell her mum. She just figured it out somehow through a sibling or someone close. Parents are sneaky like that.

Go to dinner. Mom now gets how important you are to her daughter, and she wants to make peace.

Be respectful and honest with her. Tell her how you feel about your girlfriend. If it comes up, go ahead and tell her you haven't had sex with her. Don't expect her to believe that, but don't hestitate to tell her. Most of all, if it starts to turn into an argument (not that it will, but IF it does), keep a cool head, don't get sucked into arguing. Be the bigger person.

Ah, the mother. The dinner offer could be a truce, or it could be a laying down of the law (don't ever come round here again!) I say go, and don't say a word about love. Say things like respect, admire, enjoy her company, but don't bring up love, cause most of us crusty parents pretty much figure you kids don't know shit about love. Not that that is true, of course. And what ever you do, steer clear of having it ever become a me versus them scenario, or an "But mom, I love him!!" scene. Just ride it out until the girl can move out and get a place of her own. Nothing proves maturity to a parent more than the interested parties being able to plan things out, take their time, and not pick fights. But don't roll over and take it if mom gets nuts. Just respectfully dismiss yourself and go about your business. Thats my advice, coming from a situation where my wifes father once said, "of all the ones that had to stick around, why did it have to be him?"

atleast she invited you for dinner, which means she wants to establish some sort of repoire with you.

Long-term you should try your best to have a good relationship with the mom, blowing her off now would not be wise.

Of course, from the sound of it she might bring a wire tap or set up some sort of sting operation so don't say anything that would incriminate yourself for anything, even unpaid parking tickets : )
