Old signature just wasn't doing it for me anymore, so now I have this new one. It's equally as stupid but at least it looks really long. I'm probably just going to keep typing until I run out of things to babble about and see how many people actually read this. I once ran down a hill, fell down and hurt my elbow; my mom said I would be ok, she kissed it and made it all better. I've run out of things to say now, so if you have read this whole thing, congratulations you get a gold star!

I grew up in a house where a parent was an alcoholic/drug addict and I never knew my grandfather for the same reason. So anways what I'm getting at is this just won't fly. I'd have a long talk with them (with revoking of privleges afterwards) but I'd probably have tried to educate them about drinking beforehand anyways.

Also once you are 18 if you drink in my home before you're 21 - you're out.
I grew up with parents that would allow me to have a beer or a glass of wine with dinner since I was about 15. If I asked for beer for the weekend they would get it for me with the understanding that I would drink resposibly (They knew I could get it off the street and thought it was better to know what I was up to). Some of my friends (whose parents forbade them from touching the stuff) would get beer and drink it as fast as they could just to get pissed. I would drink like my folks and watch these guys make idiots of themselves.

By the time a child gets to the age that they want to drink with their friends they should have at least a groundwork of understanding of the effects of drinking. I think the reactionary, not in my house, kick out the child attitude is over the top and one of the contributing factors to teenage binge drinking.

I with everyone else in that the shit hits the fan if you drink and drive.

My thoughts *exactly*. My parents were (are? Im still underage) the same way, and I am thankful for it.
