Is it your own DSL connection? If not, then yes you can get caught, if it is your own connection, then not so likely, but he could have a key logger if it is a company computer. Generally at work, stay away from porn as bad things are more then likely to happen.

edit: clearing up my wording

Not unless he really tried to. Under normal circumstances, no, but under extreme circumstances, yes. I doubt he'd go to expensive and risky measures just to check your Internet history, however.

He'll probably copy down the links and go to those websites when his wife isn't home. You're actually doing him a favour. Don't be surprised if your next payslip has a few extra bucks slipped into it.

I'm not exactly sure what the specifics are. Are you working at home, VPNing in to work, with a company-leased DSL line or what?

If it's a company-leased DSL line to your home, then (most likely) no one will care - though check to see if they have any specific rules against it.

If it's on a company-bought computer, I really wouldn't recommend it, irregardless of who owns the DSL line. Computers have a funny way of making the fact that "but he's 250 miles away from me!" only add about 10ms to a ping time.

All our DSL users had a VPN connection back to our servers, so yeah, we knew what they were doing all day every day. Chances are, they probably already know about it if they have a similar setup.

If you go through your company's network to get to the internet, then they can install software that tracks where you surf. Until they contracted out our computer center and changed the software package, I could find out where people surfed to, when, how much they downloaded, etc.
