First round report: inconclusive.

I was kind of hoping that the Aneros would do all the work for me. Sure, I read the directions and all, but I was hoping it'd be a bit more obvious.

Getting it in wasn't too hard, once I figured out what the correct angle was (hey, I said I'm new at this). It helps if you use the perenium abutment as a guide. And it didn't take long for me to get used to it.

"Continue to breath slowly and begin to contract the sphincter muscle in time with your breathing." Oops, I think I was contracting my PC muscle for the last 15 minutes. Hmm, let's work at that again.

"Concentrate your mind on your prostate." I have no idea where my prostate is. I mean, it's in there somewhere, but I don't really know where, or what it feels like when bumped, or whatever.

"At this time, lubricant plays an important role to keep the Aneros Massager as slippery as possible so that the massager’s movement is easily effected by the anal sphincter’s actions." Is it moving? I don't really know. Perhaps it isn't, and I lost too much lube in the insertion process.

Anyway, I was working this while my wife worked the Woody next to me (which she liked MUCH better than the standard rubber toys). She was done well before me. Eventually, she gave me a blowjob to finish me off, since the Aneros didn't seem to be getting me anywhere this round. wow... it had actually arrived when i last posted. Was sitting in this innocent looking USPS box.

First impressions:
Its much SMALLER than it looks. Perhaps around the length of my middle finger. Slightly thicker.

Didn't have any lube handy, so I used the convieniently provided sample of lube included in the box. Probably not enough, since they recommend using lots of it.

Didn't have a dropper to lube myself up either, so I just coated the Aneros.

Got used to to pretty fast, but perhaps coz of insufficient lube, it didn't move around very much. Interesting sensation though. Tried the instructions on the website, tried the breathing exercises but eventually got impatient, and finished myself off.

managed to do that without hands though... just stretching the skin..

Definitely a much stronger orgasm then usual. Shot further too....

The external thing that's supposed to press against the perinium, kept sliding around. I'll try not to get any lube on it next time.

Verdict: Mixed results. Not giving up on this though. Allocate lots of time for this. =)

Tried KY jelly for my second run.

Didn't work too well. Most of it got scraped off on insertion. Again, not much effect on me (especially in terms of trying to get that prostate thing going. )

I'm pretty stressed and all about job hunting recently, so not really in the mood for all this.

That's why, when it comes to anal-anything, too much lube is always almost enough. Also, if you put some latex on it (if it's too small try the finger of a glove or a finger condom maybe?) the lube might stay longer. I've never actually handled an aneros (well maybe I did at Good Vibrations, but I can't recall) but I imagine it's plastic, which has a pretty slick surface. Latex will create a more porous surface for the lube to stick to.

It is hard plastic. I like to squirt a bunch on me and then dribble some on the Aneros iteself... by the time its inserted there seems to be plenty of lube.

I also find that giving myself an enema before hand can make the experience better.

Follow-up on usage:

I still haven't had one of the multi-orgasms... I think I am just too impatient. I've felt myself getting close to what seems like an orgasm (without touching my self) but just can seem to get over the hump (so to speak)...

That said, when I do take matters into my own hands, the orgasm is really strong and much deeper than without the Aneros.

Round 2: better, but still inconclusive.

Using the advice from the Aneros forum, I used a infant medicine syringe to inject a good amount of lube internally before insertion, and that seemed to solve the lubrication issue.

Once again, I was getting some stimulation, but after about a half-hour, I was getting bored with it and didn't feel like I was approaching a release. So, a little lube on the hand, and I began to stroke. *BANG* That orgasm came out of nowhere about 10 seconds later, practically no buildup, I didn't even have the tissues ready.

The orgasm was very good, but at this point there is still too much time investment to get there. If you live alone, the balance equation might be different for you.

I bought an aneros helix (smallest and cheapest) after reading the claims on the Aneros website which describe Super O's, super T's, dry orgasms etc and thought if its half as good as they say it should be fun.
The first few tries were quite dissapointing, using the breathing and the anal contractions was pretty boring and unfulfilling. There was sensation from the prostate but the length of time you need to keep your spinchter contracted is extensive for an untrained group of muscles. In short you get quite tired before the sensations aneros claim kick in. However, and this is the biggie, I persevered mainly because there was a hint at the sensations to come from the prostate. I popped the thing in as often as I could for about two weeks, not concentrating on anything but toning the sphinchter muscles. Then one morning when I had plenty of time and having just woken I lubed up the aneros and slipped it in, and retired to bed. Opposite to what the website says I lay on my front and this seemed to increase the sensation. I increased the duration for each contraction until I was holding for several minutes between relaxing. The sensations felt stronger than before and compelled me to hold the contractions longerand longer. You read on the Aneros site of shaking and involuntary leg shaking and the like and if like me you are sceptical you think nonsense. The thing is that morning something clicked and next thing my legs are quivering and the sensations from my butt were ramping up getting stronger and stronger. Welcome JennyJones, I haven't had the success you have had, but I haven't tried as hard either. Sounds like some good advice.

How do you deal with that sharpish edge on the front of the Aneros? I find that irritates me after a while. Some of the other brands of prostate stimulator have smoother bits there, but I don't see spending the money to replace it right now.

Thanks for the welcome. With regards that awkward lump pressing on the perineum I also found it very uncomfortable at first. However recently, the irritating nature of the lump has dissapeared. I cannot explain this really but I think in the early days I was also manually manipulating the device and I think this caused too much friction on that spot, so that next time I used it the perineum was a little sensitive.

I think that is the reason aneros tell you to become accustomed to the unit for 20 mins before starting the contraction phase. Secondly as you become more used to the aneros it seems to pivot around the perineum as opposed to the early days when the draw is perpendicular to your anal canal. My body just seemed to work it out overnight

I have 2 of these. I just received the a couple of weeks ago. One is the Progasm and the other is MGX. So far, I've tried them twice, I have not had the "Super O" that they talk about in their forums directions on their web site. But I will continue to try.
