TFP Cribs: Let's see your closets!

As a part of 'get to know your TFP members better', I think we should do little mini 'cribs' threads to show off our sweet pads.

To start off with, my favorite part of Cribs is I love to see how people organize their clothes.

So, all you TFP superstars, lets see those closets!

Here's mine:

Top drawers: Belts/ties/gloves/misc
Left row, top to bottom: Undershirts, long sleeve t-shirts
Next row, t2b: Solid color t's, textured t's.
Next: Teir 1 shirts, Tier 2 shirts, workout shirts, workout shorts/swimtrunks, Tier 3 shirts, trash shirts
Next: Jeans, Jeans, not jeans, shoes (black and brown in dress and casual + running)
Bottom tray: 4 pairs of flipflops, one pair of slippers, one pair of Vibram 5-fingers, one pair of moccassins
Next to bottom tray: Work boots, hiking boots (not shown, too far left)
Foreground 2-drawer nightstand: socks and boxer briefs.
Yay target organizers!

Also, the pole isn't sorted by type, it's sorted by wear freqency. Whenever I put away a hanging shirt after wearing and washing, I put it on the right, thus my least-worn shirts migrate left, and the most worn stay right. /dork.

I can't get a good pic of my closet, the room is a bit on the small side, but I assure you it looks nothing like yours. Basically its clothes crammed in on hangers with a wide variety of stuff strewn about the floor and on the shelf above.

Yep. Target was having a sale on organizers, so I think I spent all of...$40 on all the blue things you see. This picture was taken right when I finished it, I'll go snap another to show that I've been able to maintain it for 3 months

Bins > drawers.

And yes, will, I'm thinking about solutions to that...wider hangers perhaps? I could demote some of my tshirts to garage storage and fold them...

Here's a new pic, with some slight alterations since I set it up to allow for the cooler weather.

Anyways, come on, this isn't "check out twisted's OCD closet", I want to see wherever however it is you keep your clothes! Everyone has a different system, and I think their a fun way to learn about people! KellyC, looking in your direction here ;-)

That is awesome, Twisted! I have a real appreciation for organized, tidy people like yourself.
I will say though that I think you set the bar pretty high. I doubt that there is someone else out there in TFP land who is half as organized as you. But good on ya, anyway!

My closet is organized, kind of, but there's so much stuff in it (with the boo's clothes, as well) that it's a horror to look at. There ain't no fucking way I'm posting a picture of it here.

We don't have closets; we have holes where we put shit we forget about.

I, too, am ashamed. The worst closets are those that are hard to get to. In my defense, we live in a smallish apartment (1+den that's really a 1+dining area converted to a "den").

Twisted, you are an inspiration to us all. Keep it up!

Your appeal motivated me to snap a pic of my wife's closet...which is in some ways similar to yours...you guys been sharing notes????
(Don't ask me what her system is, she changes it yearly, the only thing I know for sure is that socks are in the bottom basket)

OK, here we go. It's a bit of a walk in closet, but not very deep. Had to break it into 3 pieces to itemize it like you've done yours.

Three-layer tower of shit:
Top layer - Binders, paper, pens and pencils, knives and matches
Middle layer - one pair of tan (beige?) swim trunks
Bottom layer - bags of candy, wrapping paper, and other shit
Also in this side: piles of laundry, paper, and shit

Five layer bookshelf of shit:
Top: A box full of "memories", associated shit I'd like to keep for posterity
Top shelf:
1x speaker, unplugged
1x broken shooting earmuffs, for muffling gunfire
20x DVD-Rs, unburned
1x 25 foot ethernet cable, unused

Second shelf:
10x random Music CDs
7x random boxes of game shit, not including their CDs; manuals, etc.

Third shelf:
2 pairs of dress shoes, in box

Fourth shelf:
1x Joystick, USB
1x drawing pad for a PC, USB
Some number of random cables, mice, adapters, etc

Fifth (bottom) shelf:
Box full of cables, batteries, small battery powered devices, adapters, Hard drives, CD drives, and DVD drives

Hung up:
Some number of dress shirts and shit

In black filing cabinet:
Some number of T-Shirts and shit
Some number of pants
Some number of socks and boxers

In the back:
Pairs of shoes, dress shoes, and an unused CRT monitor

On the top rack:
Lots of programming and graphics books, and two more boxes of unused computer shit, manuals, and adapters

Your closet is sexy.

I only know of one other person who's as meticulous about organizing his closet. He organizes his cereal by expiration date and has a weekly food rotation that seldom changes.

My closet? I have too much clothes to fit into one closet, so some cramming is necessary. This is not counting all my outerwear that's in the closet by the front door (3 light jackets, 2 early spring/late fall jackets, 1 zip up sweater, two winter coats) and shoes (one pair of boots, pair of leather black shoes, two pairs of fancy Italian shoes - lacquered black and cream white and one pair of sneakers).

You're all way too organized. I can't open my closet because of the collapsed stack of boxes in front of it. I'm about 99% sure the paintball guns I can't find are in there, and really hoping that the antique rifle I can't find is in there, too, because otherwise I have no idea where it could be. I seem to remember having Legos and Army Men in there, too, but I could be wrong.

My room is a fucking mess.

One of my employees, that happens to be gay, would approve of the OP pic *and* find something to criticize. (He always does) I suspect that he would say that there was some sloppy folding of some of those T's.

This entire topic seems a bit .... err "happy".

You know what's really sad?

The amount of clothes that Charlatan has hanging in his closet is about the same amount of clothes that I actually wear. But there's about 4 times that much clothing in my closet.

And you know what's weird?
I haven't even bought any clothes in the past couple of years. I subsist on hand-me-downs from my mother and sister, lol. Yet I'm drowning in clothes.
