Advice for PS2 Importing & Music Games
Hopefully this doesn't get me misidentified as a warez-begger (especially since it's my first real post ...). My motives really are totally legit.
I want to import one (or more) of the Japanese PS2 games "DrumMania" or any of the "Guitar Freak/DrumMania" combo games to the US. These games require the game (obviously ), and also a special drum pad controller. I'd like to find a game importer or somebody who can sell me these things fairly cheap -- I've found a couple people who will do it, but their prices seem extortionate (upwards of $250 for just the controller and one game). Can anybody offer any insights or recommendations? # MODS DELETE THIS PART IF NECESSARY # Also, I need to buy a mod chip to enable my system to read the Japanese disks. I don't care (seriously!) whether it will play CD-Rs, I just need it to play imports. Would anyone like to recommend a particular modchip for my needs? I can pick one out of a list fairly blindly, but it's enough money that I don't want to make a mistake. ### Thanks, everyone, in advance... I've been lurking here a few weeks, and I finally mustered the gumption to stick my head up mr.abuse |

ok.. let me help you out a bit.
While i dont own a ps2 i have heard that datel's newest action reply will play imports, give you the ability to enter cheats, pretty much combining the freeloader and AR like the gamecube version does already.. so keep your fingers crossed. A little birdie told me if you head over yto redoctane and drop a arseload of cash you can go home with a drummania, beatmania and guitarfrekas controller.. Hell might as well pick up a ddr pad and a para mat while you are at it http://www.redoctane.com/bemani-series.html Good luck with that site!.. i'm still trying to find the official maracas for Samba de Amigo for my DC.. damn Sega of America.... |

I (thought I) had already looked at RedOctane for the drum pads and didn't find them. Apparently I am blind. Thanks for the tip . mr.abuse |
