Question about post count
Why does it sometimes when I posted a message, the post count doesn't go up it stays the same. I read the rules that you have to "Post at a reasonably patient rate so as not to fill the 'latest posts' list with your name". I posted one message at around 1 pm today then I posted a another at 3 pm but the post count still stay the same.
2 hours is a reasonably time right? |

2 hours sounds pretty reasonable to me, I dunno how long it takes the post count to update, I always imagined it was fairly instant.

Well,
I can't stress enough how much we value GOOD posts around here. And we don't care if you're a rookie or not. Good contributions will get you noticed, poor ones won't and really REALLY poor ones may result in worse. Look at it this way, you want the people you hang with to be good contributors to the conversation, right?

First, I would recommend following the link, as more information is posted there. But in brief, posts in "Nonsense" don't count towards post count (although maybe Halx has introduced code to do so if the posts are more than one or two words, but I don't know.) Other posts in other areas count, but if staff thinks you are spamming, then you might very well find your post count knocked back and a warning sent to you.
