Great point. I know I married well in this regard, my wife who has had periods of being over weight would find them funny not offensive.

While typing that I almost did a PC thing to not 'offend' I wrote over weight and then switched to 'heavier than she would like' as to be less offensive. Then I realized no, thats a lie, she was over weight (and she knows it). This wasn't a 'I'd like to lose 5 lbs' this was 'OMG I got fat!'.

Either people are getting fatter, or every scale I've ever climbed on is wrong, but I've been around 95 pounds for the last four years and I've gone from a size 2 to hopelessly browsing children's clothing. Before people start snarking about how I'll break at the flick of your finger, I'd like to point out that you'd have to catch me first.

I'm a diminutive 5'2, but have always been thin even for my height. It's obnoxious and infuriating on an entirely different level when people start out being envious and wind up whispering behind your back about a non-existent eating disorder. Who the hell do people like me whine to? Well, most of the time, we suck it up and try to be comfortable with who we are without having to tear down the general desirability and *presumed* health of differently sized women. It works surprisingly well, gals.

To be absolutely fair though, I'm bitching into the wind for no real reason. Hell, I like being somewhat androgynous. It has its perks.
You aren't the first person I've heard complaining about it. From what I gather 'they' now have a size 00, hell in a couple of years it will be a size 000.

I haven't noticed this, maybe its a build thing. My slacks, jeans and suit are all a 36 waist. One thing I've noticed about pants is that if I get a 36" 34" they fit, but a 38" 34" are suddenly way to long, or if I try a 34" 34" they are now too tight AND short.

Maybe its time for the government to step in, with a Truth in Sizing law :P

It's Charisma and Confidence, babe.

I'm 6'2" and {typing error} lbs, and for years had a major downer that girls didn't fancy me.

I've always found it easy to be confident about social interaction, even when I felt I was not attractive - but recently a friend of over 25 years pointed out to me that I've never gone more than a few weeks single. In fact of all my crowd from university, I've been the most successful with women, despite beign far from richest, far from fittest, and far from most handsome.

What I have is personality.

And a huge cock, obviously.

For the record, I'd be fearful of breaking the woman in the OP, think the woman in the ad with the petals is 'king horny, and think Shannon is much better looking than any of them.

We're all a bit different in our preferences.

On thing is for sure though - the 'fashion' as judged by checking women's mags is not the same as 'fashion' as judged by looking at mens mags.

And speaking of mens mags... a quick glance at that section of a newsagent (or truckstop) in AU will show that different men favor different shapes. There's a legs magazine, a busty magazine, a mature women magazine, a 'voluptuous' magazine....

Anyways, one thing I've gotten out of this is that women are even more catty than I had originally thought. Not that I'm ignorant on the subject, mind you. Dolores Haze brings up a good, painful and realistic point (or two). The jealous to secret character smashing ways of females are strange. Guys don't really have this issue. I wonder, though, if this is somehow linked to the advertisement making you feel bad, vs the great "Dannon" ad imagined on the last page making men feel good. Is this a commonality that a lot of advertising geared towards women makes them feel bad about themselves? Very little, if any, advertising geared towards men is like that. Men aren't "guilted" into things very easily. But if we feel like a stud for drinking x beer or wearing y cologne, then hell yeah we'll buy it. Our motivators are way askew to womens.

Does this tie into the "bad boy" concept of getting women? That secretly women WANT to be looked down upon? Or perhaps more realistically, do women RESPOND better to negative pressures (or not better, but more aptly... you know what I mean?!). This could be an interesting psyche issue.
