chance was thinking of
product activation, which is quite real. Assuming she bought the
latest version of Photoshop (is there any other version that one would purchase?), it most certainly "calls home," much like how Windows XP does.
Now,
chance could just try it out and see what happens but there is a real and legitimate fear of the consequences, since doing so is a clear violation of the user license agreement...
