Such is the mentality of corporate america. Why put as much effort into it as possible, thus making it meaningful, when you can do a quick, effortless job and make millions?

There is a concept of trustworthiness and altruism that you cannot acheive by profiting from your passions. Even the very act of asking for donations has drawn attention from overly imaginative conspiracy theorists. I've mulled over turning a profit from the TFP for a while. In the end, I decided it was best to maintain the true giving spirit of the TFP by not buying into that.

I once had a few banners going, but I've stopped taking offers from advertisers because I want to keep this place.. MY playground.. as pure as possible.
