Is this right?
I went to a gun show today at the hilton in reno and they said that NV residents dont have to reg, is this right? I'm from CA so this seems wierd to me.
also, why were they writing down everybody who purchased's DL#, what good is that if they dont have to register? ...or is CA just an over protective commie state? |
According to THIS site you are not required to register your guns in Nevada.
I would think that the DL# is probably for the background check. |
damn, thats a trip..

yeah, you can pick up a rifle no problem as long as you show proof of nevada residence... I am unsure about handguns though
CA sucks... |

yes. and thats no BS. Cali's gun laws are horrendously opressive. |
The problem isn't Nevada ... The problem is California.
|
You might check the city you are in as well. When I lived in Las Vegas, I had to register my gun.

Yeah Cali kicks gun owners in the junk with all the laws it has conscerning gun ownership. It's really bad when things change from county to county.

I've started shopping around for an HK P7M13 ... then I discovered that California's approved handgun list excludes the HK P7M13 (13rd capacity) but not the M8 version of the same handgun (which has an 8rd capacity). The exclusion of the M13 should have nothing to do with its 13 round capacity since the list supposedly reflects the "safety and reliability" of the handguns.... (yeah right). The M13 is otherwise identical in every way to the M8 ... talk about sneaking bans in through back doors ...
